Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Arvada

Took one of our daughters to get ice cream at 7 on a Saturday night, walked in and it’s empty except for the 2 teenagers behind the counter. Order a shake and two ice creams. Wanted waffle cones, they were out, ok, we’ll get the waffle bowls. No milk for the shake and no bananas for one of the ice creams. They have to go to King Soooers to get more. Ok, I can get that. Get one ice cream and sit for 10 mins while one is the teenagers goes to the store. He gets back with milk, forgot the bananas. I have to pick another flavor unless I want to wait another 10 mins. Pick another flavor and the waffle bowl was super old and stale. The teenagers were nice but it’s really clear the management is painfully lacking at this location. $17 for a small shake and 2 medium ice creams should guarantee you better service than what we received. Very disappointed with our experience. We had pre-ordered a birthday cake for my mom, but when we arrived to pick it up, the staff had no record of the order. They were completely unprepared, couldn’t locate the order in the system, and had no idea how to issue a refund.

To make matters worse, there was no clear communication or solution offered. We were left without a cake for her birthday and no real help from the team.

The only bright spot was that, after my mom asked, they did give her some ice cream for free. It was a kind gesture, but it didn’t make up for the frustration or the fact that we were left scrambling on her special day.

Ice cream is too expensive and they were light on the toppings. So light that there was barely a taste past the vanilla ice cream

Three people working here and the tables are all filthy. We had to sit outside due to no clean tables inside. No clean tables outside either and sidewalk is filthy. While we sat here for about a 1/2 hour they had two additional customers. They made no efforts to clean tables. Even saw one of the workers sitting up on the counter talking to friend/customer while other employee standing in back eating ice cream. Sad. Makes me not want to...
