Not sure what was up tonight but stopped in to get an ice cream cone during the Second Saturday event. There was a line out the front door that I was happy to wait in as it was a busy warm July evening. Here’s where things get weird. As I got closer to the I counter, I could hear one of the employees very loud and in a rude tone addressing people that were ordering. She sounded fed up with something so I assumed they did something to upset her. Nbd. As I approached I noticed she was speaking this way to everyone.. I began to get nervous as it was my turn because I had a question about a flavor and I could tell she was not in a good mood. I greeted her politely and I asked her what the Pink Cash flavor was and she cut me off answering me before I could finish saying “cash” (which mind you is a short word lol). I got my cone and my friend got hers, we get to the checkout spot and both pull out a card and giggled since we were in sync and she says “I don’t care who’s paying just tap”. Like dang girl. Okay. We paid together and tipped 20% and she flipped the iPad back around and says in the most sarcastic tone “bye-eeeeeeee!” I know second saturdays are super busy and I imagine they’re super stressful. I sympathize with the staff. But being blatantly rude to customers is whack behavior, especially since this place is normally super chill and great vibes. I know other customers felt awkward too because I was making eye contact with looks of “unmmm”. Idk. Really was a bummer to experience :/ just wanted a lil sweet treat but was made to feel like we were...
Read moreI used to go to this place all the time and happily recommend it to anyone who asked where a good ice cream shop was. I have to say that after today they have lost all my business and I refuse to recommend them to anyone else. The worker behind the counter was working alone so I waited in line for over 20mins with everyone getting ice cream (I was only buying candy for my son). There was only the one line and no one waiting at the other register when I arrived. When it was my turn to pay the worker went over to the other register and started checking the people who were lined up there. When I said something her response was "I will help you in a few minutes because these people have been waiting longer then you." This was completely untrue as that line didn't start to form until after I had already been waiting for 10 minutes. She than stated that anyone wanting to buy candy had to move to the other line (the line she was helping). So now I am forced to leave the line I had waited for now over 20 minutes to go to another line where I have to wait some more because there are 4 other people now in front of me. When I finally got up to the front she was rude and disrespectful to me. She didn't care that she wasted my time or helped people ahead of me and made people who were waiting longer than others to...
Read moreI was here on 3/20 @ 9pm. This place served icecream (Flavor: Black Out) to my PREGNANT WIFE. Their labels do not call out that an ice cream flavor has alcohol. I don't care how good their ice cream is, but this is JUST unacceptable. If you put alcohol you let consumers know there is alcohol. If you don't label it as containing alcohol, the scooper should notify consumers that it contains alcohol. Not wait for us to ask after we have had a couple spoons. When I did ask her if this has alcohol, there was no sense of urgency or care. She just said you can throw out this one and pick any ice cream you like. I mean people are not expected to wear a "I AM PREGANT" label/ shirt when they walk into the store. Someone could have easily had enough of the ice cream to have caused serious complications. GOSH! Is this how Arvada City is holding restaurants and stores accountable? Should I sue? This is GROSS NEGLIGENCE!
Update: I have filed a complaint with City of Arvada for any Code...
