I can't express enough gratitude towards the Arvada Army Navy Surplus' stuff. They are such nice, kinding and caring people that work. I was having the most horrible time find cord lock. I went everywhere and call everywhere the Denver metro area. And they all said they did not have cord locks. Everywhere I went or called told me to buy what I was looking on Amazon. I don't like Amazon and I don't like supporting big box chains business. I beyond love supporting local businesses. Local businesses have a special touch that big box companies can't compete with. I have been shopping here for years. They have always have the best customer service. Where there is a world with no good customer service. Arvada Surplus cares for your business and you can tell they love helping the community. They products are awesome. They have stuff there I have never seen anywhere else. Like they have socks that are made from a Portland, Oregon company. They products are really good quality and their prices aren't bad either. So why keeping supporting companies that don't care for your business. Shop local to support...

Went in on 4/13/17 and decided to buy some paracord $7.99 and a tarp marked $16.99. Went to the register and they tried to charge $43 and some change. I'm no math wiz but 8+17 should be about $25 not $43. I pointed this out and they argued. I pointed out the two tags on the items and they still argued. So eventually they went and looked and the tarp had been tagged wrong, turns out it was a smaller tarp that was the $16.99 not the one I had. Stuff happens no big deal not a lot of $ so take care of the customer and move on. Nope! refused to honor their own price tag. It would have made no difference to them in the long run but to me it made the difference between getting good customer service and not. Made me feel like you thought I had swapped the price or something. Not only did you lose that sale but you lost a local customer over less than $20. Not a good business decision. I won't be back any time soon. I can already get everything they sell in that shop delivered to my door in 2 days from Amazon and cheaper too, I go to local business for customer...

HORRIBLE experience! Called ahead of time informing them I was looking for OCP multipurpose liner, poncho liner, "woobie," whatever you wanna call it. Told the lady Chris/Kris that it needs to be the official OCP one with last four 8526. She assured me it was, and she put it aside for me. Unfortunately my work schedule didn't allow me to go grab it myself, so my wife drove there with our 2 young kids in traffic for over an hour, just to arrive and find that it's NOT the official one that they issue, and it doesn't even have a tag/NSN. I really don't understand what her agenda was telling me they had something that they actually didn't have. Was it one of those "just get them through the door" things and then try to sell/upsell them on other things? Like, I really, REALLY don't understand why she would tell me they have a specific item I'm looking for, when they don't have it.
