Absolutely disgusting customer service. I accidentally checked out a hotspot and one of the evil ladies there checked it back in and then checked out the Chromebook I had meant to check out I waited a whole month for it went back they processed it and let me bring it home cuz I have a Jefferson county Library card and I've been going to that library for a long time because I was making progress on my life which all fell apart and that's the reason I needed the laptop. So the laptop they checked out to me was deactivated because it forgot to go through processing or something So they put me at the top of the list and I came back the next day when a new Chromebook came in for me I go in and they demand to see my identification card which doesn't have a Jefferson county address on it. I'm homeless I've been checking out hotspots and Chromebooks from that library and today I felt absolutely embarrassed absolutely ashamed of myself and I felt absolutely discriminated against because they demanded to see my ID when I presented my library card Why Because I go to the center across the road to eat so apparently to them I am trash I've had a really bad month and this library has Doug the...
Read moreI was so annoyed going here. I was dressed in business attire and needed to work for an hour before picking up my daughter from a camp in North Arvada. I went in and was on the phone and a meeting room was open at 245pm on a FRIDAY - yep, Friday. Nope- the 2nd floor ladies who were chatting the entire time came and kicked me out. So, I had to be on calls in public. Which is fine, but then they came to usher me out of the teen area at 330pm when there were no teens present - none came before I left at 350pm. Honestly, I will not return here as I did not feel welcome and the staff was not helpful at all on the 2nd floor. I mean, seriously.... it is a library and no one used that meeting room - when I left, no one had come and it was dark. I pay for these libraries in taxes and have for 17 years living in JeffCo, so let's lighten up on people trying to use the library - we are just trying to work and not be disruptive or camp out here. My home library was Standley Lake and they were always so kind there and found a way to make the meeting rooms etc work even when not...
Read moreThe library's staff as always were very freindly, and helpful. Especially when one is as clueless as I am when it comes to using a printer, and their new system of using your library card to send the docs over to a print station. I didnt even have to ask for help. Yet isuspect the staff member who saw the sheer look of caveman like confusion on my face, (and rather impressively through my mask) when faced with the giant printer infront of me, and and the task of getting my file sent to it. He came over immediately with out me having ask for help or more likely, saving me from looking even more caveman like and foolishly mashing random buttons in an attempt to get my documents printed. He then walked me through the process of scsnning my library card and selecting the proper button on the kiosk and got the job done. While remaining respectfull of the social distance guidelines of course. Also i learned just by walking in the library, through osmosis I suspect i learned to write like this, or by checking out and reading the books in it. Support your local library and find our...
