I took my son after school today around 2:25pm. I just recently spoke with the owner of twist and shake and shared my experience with him. I said that the quality of the product is absolutely outstanding! The ice cream is rich and creamy, better than top competitors. But I think in the future we will wait to see if change happens for the better and then continuing our partnership. Please keep in mind we are advocates for our community and the next generation. Today, I am concerned about the impact that the two women working there today could be giving the young kids a wrong impression. Is proper clothing a thing of the past? Is it appropriate to wear a low cut tank top showing half of your cleavage to children and minors appropriate? Is wearing shorts so short that you leave nothing to the imagination serving ice cream to children appropriate? I’m not interested in seeing your inner thighs our outer thighs. Both of these women need to be mindful of the way they are dressed. Let me remind you that dressing like that at work is inappropriate. As young ladies we are to be modest, wear something cute, not trashy. I don’t want to see your cleavage. When I go into a family “kid” friendly establishment I don’t want to see body parts that are to be seen in the privacy of your own home. Nobody wants to see your breasts and thighs at the least not our children. Our children are innocent and should remain that way as long as we can protect them. Plus let me remind you that you work for a person who owns this establishment and the way you dress will affect the outcome of the success of this business. Finally, this establishment is for families and children not some trashy club or strip club. Dress appropriately to work. Let’s protect the children...
Read moreThe girl at the counter judged my kids and their father because he's covered in tattoos and yes maybe he doesn't look like the standard Carleton person but that's not excuse to treat anyone any differently. I find this incredibly rude. Took a look at him and pulled the tip jar inside the window and wouldn't serve him. Asked to help the people behind them and then refused help to him completely yet all he did was wait in line patiently so my kids could get ice cream. There was no altercations or words exchanged that would cause the girl to even react like this expect she was being petty and judgemental. If you can't serve people because they look a little different maybe you shouldn't have a job in customer service. I've tried calling this place they have no phone hooked up so I guess I'll be showing up there until I'm able to speak to a manager because my family does deserve an apology for this kind...
Read moreWe were on our way back to Ann Arbor from the Monroe area and stopped at the Twist and Shake Shop. The person behind the counter, Riley by name, was just wonderful. She made our Sunday after noon treats, a chocolate sundae with nuts and an banana split, with a smile. They were as good as expected and she and they get...
