No doubt the best tacos in Ashburn. Such a great shop with a super friendly staff (like notably friendly actually) and amazing food. The place is clean, and we’ll kept. The men’s room is showing signs of wear but it’s clean for sure. The menu changes only slightly on certain days so if you’re looking for the Birria tacos you need to stop in on a Tuesday or Sunday. I highly recommend them by the way, the consummate is next level. Their chips and salsa are outstanding, the house made salsa is slightly smoky and just damn delicious. The guacamole is also fantastic and both the salsa and guacamole come is a good sized portion. They also sell bottles of their hot sauce. There’s 4 different kinds of hot sauces at each table and all of them are great. The “extra hot” isn’t that hot at all so don’t be afraid of it, it’s got a really nice balanced flavor. This is a popular place and gets a get crowded around lunchtime, but there’s a decent amount of indoor seating and more seating available outdoors. Parking is easy, so no problems there. I’d say if there was any one thing that wasn’t perfect it was the amount of chips you get with an order. The salsa and guacamole is enough for 3-4 but the chips are only enough for 1-2. Other than that, I love this place and highly recommend it.

Fantastic little restaurant. I know there are several around, but for some reason I kept finding somewhere else to eat. Huge mistake. Everything here has been delicious. I ate here 4 times in two weeks. I have gotten to try the chorizo, barbacoa, brisket, fish, carnitas, and chicken tinga. Flour and corn. I honestly usually hate soft corn tortillas... get their's. You will not be disappointed. The only thing I can really ask for is something a little hotter on their salsa choices. All of them taste great, but their "extra spicy" is not spicy at all if you have even the slightest spice tolerance. Please guys, we aren't children. Give us a little fire. (I can't wait to try their birria) ** Update - I tried them and they were good. Just good. The consommé was 7.5/10. Meat was 7/10. Honestly I prefer their everyday soft corn varieties.

Giving 4 stars because the chicken, beef and chorizo tacos were dry and just bland. However, all the other shredded meat options are really good. And I do mean All the other ones. Beef Barbacoa, BBQ Brisket and the BBQ Chicken. All of these are shredded and taste really good. I always have mine on corn tortillas. I do recommend. The other reason for 4 stars, I went twice, the 2nd time I wanted alcohol 🍸but no one in the building could sell legally. Yes, they were All 17 years of age. Please Taco Zocalo, place someone there (an adult) at all times who can sell alcohol and/or have their license. Tacos go well with beer 🍺 guys...🤤 🗣 just saying. Plus, you're missing out on all those sales 🤷🏾‍♂️.

EVERYTHING I ordered was fabulous! Even on a cool, rainy Tuesday afternoon this place will make you happy! Receiving a recommendation, I swung by between an apt and heading home. Tidy and clean! Superior customer service! Intriguing menu. Struggling to decide, I ordered four tacos; two veggie two grilled chicken. (I make GF choices, but willing to deal with downside, I asked for two corn and two flour soft shells). Side of rice, chips n salsa, and street corn. Within minutes I was headed out the door, not regretting spending the time and money. I gave a tip via the payment process, of which I’d never done, but happy to—feeling genuine customer service deserves a monetary thank you. (Plus, I had a feeling I’d be back.) Like a dog ready to fight if you come near their bowl, I dug in. Yep I said “I”. I didn’t share with anyone in the house. The corn looks great and tastes amazing! I’ll never go there without buying it every time! I was nonstop scooping up rice, and salsa with the crispy corn chips. The salsa now joining my “must haves” list! Ok, ok- the tacos! I’m not gonna lie - best! Best I’ve had! Granted I’m only 7. Just kidding- I’m a full grown up. With that comes the decision of where, why, and how to spend our money. While I’d seriously want to eat lunch and/or dinner there everyday- that’s not realistic. But I’ll certainly return! The 15-20 min drive, my time, and the cash was all worth the well prepared, fresh, delicious food they put on their menu to offer and serve with fabulous personable customer service! If you live a few minutes away- I’m jealous, if you don’t- buckle up. No matter what you order, I just know you and your mouth will be very happy! Wonder what protein I’ll choose next time!! Taco Zocola is on my favorite...

Updated Review: This place has turned around in the year since my original review. Now I find the food to be hotter and fresher so it tastes very good. Customer service has improved significantly as well. I do appreciate the hello and what would you like to order that I get and hear when I'm there either ordering or picking up food.

This place is good. Don't get me wrong. However, you probably want to avoid coming here after 7p. This is one of the odd eateries in the area that closes at 830p when everything else around it is open till 9 or 10 at night.

I went there tonight as per usual and ordered my usual. A simple, chicken burrito with only rice, cheese, and sour cream. Simple enough right? I get home and guess what? They put other toppings on it that I definitely did not want and wound up throwing that burrito away.

They're usually consistent, but tonight, apparently they were just out of it and the cooks in the back didn't pay attention to the order slip. Ah, speaking of which, the cook that brings out the food, definitely looks like she rather be anywhere else, but there.

Probably the best food I get there is early evening between 5 and 7 or during lunch when the guy is working the front. Very disappointed. I'll probably be back, but I'll remind them they had messed up a few of my orders...
