UPDATE: 1/3/21 Went to David's to give it a second chance after this great exsperance I am changing my review from a 2 star to a 5! My husband was not able to come. Although it had been a while since our first visitthat went south the Manager Eruesto was actually looking for us to come someday! He was so kind and polite and truly seemed to care about what happened and that I had a fantastic exsperance this time around. Wow. Although my husband could not make it due to his covid 12 hr shifts, he offered to give lunch someday to my husband if my husband was willing to give them another chance. He also let me try a redemption meal. The staff was top notch friendly, kind, fast and they worked together as a team! This exsperance this Sunday afternoon was different than the weekday lunch exsperance I first had. The host was also so amazing she smiled a lot instantly making you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. The food entree was simply amazing! I had veggie fajitas. David's I know I'll be back again for sure now. well done very classy. ---------------------------------------------------------------- OLD REVIEW: We are new to the area. My husband and I tried David's for the first time. We waited forever at lunch time 9to our confusion because it was not even at full capcity.) It only looked to be mildly busy. My husband had asked for ranch to go with the side salad they didn't bring he waited 20 mins before they did and had to ask three times between the two of us. Our mian course food was taking close to 45 mins and it was simple food like a turkey wrap nothing complicated. The waitress kept walking by serving food to people who came after us and as she would walk by she would say your's is coming up but it never would. My husband had to get back to work at this point his lunch hour was way over and we still did not have our main dish. He was furious. He does not want to go back again but I am willing to try them again due to the fact I liked the environment and the menu seemed amazing! I hope I can talk him into trying it with me again but I promise it will NOT be at lunch time but if he will say yes it will be dinner time.

Came from out of town with a group of nine people. A quick search said that this was a great place to go for the soup and the atmosphere. The soup was a very filling clam chowder. I wish I could put some Old Bay on it, but for the South I will take it. The burger that I got was well cooked, it had the right amount of bacon, and came with a filling amount of fries. There's a plus to have the availability of cheerwine to wash down the food. We were served any timely manner considering the number of individuals that were along at the peak of dinner hour on a Friday. There was a calm, cheery, and country ambiance to the place. David's definitely fit the wide variety of menu options we were looking for. Only one of us got breakfast, but it appeared to be high quality. I definitely recommend trying that out especially the stuffed items and crepes. I recommend trying it out for yourself.

This place is comfort food 101. It’s basically an IHOP in spirit but locally owned. Everything there is tasty, hearty and made with the love that comes with a place like this. We’ve tried all kinds of items with the latest being the mushroom and feta omelette and the Caesar chicken wrap. Both great. But honestly, the onion rings are the star of the show. Beer battered goodness. Taste like your best memory of onion rings. Adore them. We always stop there when we visit Asheboro and it’s a great time. And, in honor of the late, great David Lynch, they make a damn fine cup of coffee.

I have eat here over the years. Food use to be great but sense new owners food taste has went down hill. The best food on the entire menu is the soups But still pretty good food over all Today marks a new low for this place. I walked in and Stood second in line with others sitting on the waiting list with other people standing behind me in line the hostess didn’t even look at me, he looked at the people behind me he got them on the waitlist and then two more people walked in. And they asked the hostess, which is a male hostess and he said hey is your mom working today and the hostess said yes and They got put on the waitlist, and then some more walked in. They got put on the waitlist, but still totally ignored me and some someone on the waitlist got angry and asked the hostess after he called and seated three different groups of people they said hey how is it? These three groups of people coming in after I come in and they’re getting seated at tables and the hostess said what’s your name she told him and he then said I called your name. She said no you didn’t and you did not ring the pager you give us either. I was sitting right here in front of you, he said OK I’ll set you now. As he walked off, I looked at the other people and said I guess I’m not dressed nice enough for this place because I have been skipped three times and I left I never got on the dust or even looked at. we have noticed even the waitresses the last few times we have eaten there They are not very attentive . They bring your drink and your food and that’s about all you get from them. You have to ask him hey could I get something extra? I would like to order some more food. Could I get a refill on my drink and I know I’m a good tipper At least I do five dollars on a waitress that is even any good 20+ for great service and I have not given more than five dollars the last four times I’ve been there but needless to say this was the nail in the coffin I’m...

We arrived here as a party of 5 at around 11:30. We were about 3rd in line when we arrived. While the 2 parties in front of us were helped a woman came in and pushed in front of us. When the hostess came back she asked the woman in front of us her party size and she said 7. The woman behind us chimed in and said we were here first (thanks!). About 5 minutes later the party of 7 was seated (most of them arrived after us). Over the next 25 minutes 3 more tables of 4 or less people were seated while we waited for room for 5. Each asked about us and the hostess said we're waiting for 5 and could seat them now. Finally, around noon, we were seated at a 4 top with a chair pulled up which was available the whole time (I think they were hoping a large table would free up). At 12:08 a server came to take our drink orders and we went ahead and ordered food too. Drinks arrived quick but refills were slow. At 12:48 our food finally arrived. Pancakes were hot and fresh with the right texture. Lightly sweet. Vegetarian skillet was pretty good. Very bland, unseasoned, but cooked well and tasty. I put hot sauce on it. It was more or less what I expected. Could've used a little something extra. I tried some of the sides around the table. Fries were cold and unappealing, but the soup was a hit. The beef and barley soup didn't have enough beef but tasted great. Finally left around 1:20. Found out near the end before we left that the table of 7 was related to a staff member so I guess that's what happened. All we got was a "sorry for the wait" but a real apology would've been nice. Overall the food was fine, the atmosphere was nothing special but otherwise fine, but it wasn't worth the time it took. I'd rather go somewhere with a 40 minute wait that's up front about it than somewhere with no wait but I have to...
