Going back to my childhood roots in my hometown of Asheboro, NC i stopped for lunch with a client. I loved this lunch experience. This is such a cute place. The meal and baked goods were amazing. Everything was super clean. I had to wait in line 30 minutes, but well worth the wait. No reservations. No table holding. After we got inside, I was greeted by the owner, Dusty. What an awesome, kind, loving human! She cared enough to meet me and tell me about the new menu. She was so polite and welcoming. I felt like I was eating at my grandmother's home or best friends home. I had the "That Chicken Sandwich " 🥪 😋!! Amazing. Dusty even brought me the most tasty pickle. Fries were a hit. They sell local honey, pottery and herbal teas. The bakery has some gluten free options and I had the lemon cupcake. Mmm good! I love supporting local non- corporate, family owned businesses. You should too. I highly recommend you try The Table. 😉 you won't be disappointed. Closed Sunday and Mondays. Close daily at 230pm. Get there early to wait in line. You will be glad that you did. Go Enjoy - Dusty and her staff are a first class restaurant. I hope they add a location in Greensboro where I live now! Thanks for the pickle, Dusty...you are a blessing and I can tell that you love doing what you do! Asheboro is thankful to call you home. ❤️. I wish I could give...
Read moreWe love this place. The ambience, the staff and the food are what makes this place so lovable. The plenty of pastries that they have on display is meant to distract you from what you intend to order. We ordered the Farmer Quiche with Grits, The omelette with red potatoes and Brioche French Toast with ginger whooped cream and pecan To keep us upbeat, we also asked for Cayenne Cinnamon Latte and the Mocha Latte. I liked the Cayenne Cinnamon latte better.
The quiche was very fluffy and they were generous in portion. The grits were ok. I would have liked more butter to it. The omelette was good nothing to rave about but their fried red potatoes sautéed with thyme and rosemary were really good. The highlight of our brunch was not the brioche French toast but the Ginger Whipped Crream with pecans that came with it. It perfectly complemented the French toast and the blueberry compote glaze. The playing couldn't have been better - we had one of our French toast hanging out of the plate.
For the road, we picked some macaroons(Grape Vanilla and Passion fruit?) and the hazelnut and chocolate mousse torte(it's cake made with no Flour and nuts). Liked the Grape Vanilla better and we felt the macaroons were ready fresh and comparably big for being priced at just $2. Their torte was ok, nothing to rave about.
Good food, ambience and staff....

We were greeted kindly by dining locals who spoke highly of the place; “everything is good here. You won’t be disappointed. Worth your wait time” As we entered the line to counter service ordering, we were welcomed by a lovely lady who offered direction and guidance to menu offerings. She was So very kind and welcoming. She had a warm smile and caring nature. We learned later, she was the owner! Another gracious host helped us choose our seat after we ordered. He even gave us beach location ideas and chatted with us!
The motto of “May you be met with belonging and marked by inspiration” was exhibited in service and flavors! Well done!
We ordered grits and greens, BLT, salads, and morning greens. They accommodated substitutions happily, even making suggestions. For dessert, We ordered pecan bar. The oatmeal cookie was perfect, filling was smooth and creamy.
Seating available outside and inside. Highly recommended. My only complaint is it’s too far from home. I would truly love to chat with owner and chef to hear more of...
