435 Grill — Restaurant in Asheville

We stay at the hotel and had everything on the menu in those fours day we were there. There were three kids and two adults. Our service was good but the one person working each time seemed very overwhelmed every visit we had which was dinner every night. My biggest complaint!!!! Do not order the cheesecake. My 16 yr old son just started working and with his hard earned money wanted to superior us cheesecake fanatics with dessert. We ordered three cheesecakes. Two PLAIN and one with caramel. They were 7.99 and looked like the came from the dollar tree, they were literately super tiny and chocolate. With whipped cream and caramel on the side. I will include a picture. We tried to enjoy it for my son but it was awful. I can’t imagine where they bought this from. They need to take it off the menu. My son ordered it Togo and brought it upstairs as a surprise. When I called a little after 9 they were already closed. I was really trying to get his money back.

Elsbeth , The lady behind the bar counter was very friendly and hard-working. The bar was busy with customers. There was another lady also helping with the tables where people were seated in the bar area. Both ladies were working hard and chatting with customers and making everyone feel welcomed. My husband and I were hungry but didn't want dinner so I got it to-go order of hummus and pita with fresh vegetables. We got a bloody mary and a vodka & soda to go back to our room. The food was delicious. The drinks were very tasty also and both ladies were working very hard. This was on Sept 15, 2025 at approximately 7:06 p.m. We plan to visit family again who lives 10 minutes away and will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn and be back at the 435 Grill....

The food was good, and served hot. But the service is lacking, and they could be 5 star out-of-this-world if they hired an extra person. The waitress is also the bartender, the bus person, and the greeter/seater. She's a great bartender, and even waitress, but she just can't do it all, especially when busy. It was overwhelming for her, and the frustration and inability to manage both bar and tables caused delayed service and slightly rude treatment of guests.
