Be aware of this place! The management lives there at this location with her children. We had stayed there about a month… We’ve stayed here before. I had ignored a few behaviors that I had noticed on her end the manager. The second time that we have been here our dog we had told them was an emotional support animal! We stay there for about a month… We hadn’t gotten the chance to express our animal as being certified as an emotional support animal. The last time we stayed, but got the proper paperwork, as we were adjusting to buying a home, we decided to stay at this location again… Previous stay they charged us $200. This Time we paid about almost $500 every week! They decided to not charge us for the deposit…
As time went on, this manager took it upon herself to notice our dog on video camera. The odd vibe and the odd feeling I got first staying there she seemed very in tune to pay attention to everything not an issue! However, We have been asked to leave and kicked out! We have just paid these people $500 for a week stay… My partner and I come home one day from bringing our dog back from the dog park. Our keys were locked… Go up to the front desk we can’t get into our room? “Yes… You guys need to leave” Well, we expressed. We just paid yesterday for a whole week stay why are we being asked to leave? “Your dog” “We saw on video camera” Here’s what really happened. My partner was going out to take the dog out potty… Someone’s pitbull and their owner were walking in as my dog and my partner were walking out! The pit bull and my dog are both medium to large dogs of course, they were jumping on each other and doing what dogs do as they both were male dogs that should tell you it took my partner to separate the two as the pitbull owner didn’t seem to be able to control his dog! We were asked to leave because essentially my partner separated the two dogs and exchanged a few words in the kindest way, possible please pay attention and get your dog. I’m trying to get my dog! This was not an issue for us, nor anything to complain about on our end as dogs will do what dogs will do! Essentially, we paid a deposit in the end they charged us for the deposit for the dog even though they hadn’t at first they ended up kicking us out, and having the police show up to ensure we understood which was in embarrassing!!!!!
The night before we were told to talk to the higher up management about finding a place for the dog to go, because we were willing to let our friend babysit our dog as we are in the middle of buying a house! This was supposed to be a decent place to stay! We could have found a place for our dog, even though they explained that our dog was somehow aggressive one which was not the truth! Both dogs were jumping on each other, and it took my partner to separate the both of them as the other owner was not seeming to control their animal! The manager and her family that lives there! Seem to be too personal and too involved in peoples business as she was nowhere around when this happened and somehow found this on camera when no one complained about it! Which makes me feel like we were constantly being watched! we are a young couple in the middle of buying a house.. We thought this was a comfortable place to stay as we reserved it for a little bit of time until we settled and signed paperwork when the home was completely refurbished. Our experience has been nothing, but difficult and exhausting is we had to get woken up at 7:30 in the morning! Telling us we were not able to talk to anybody basically, and that the bottom line is for us to leave all over a dog that had the same behavior as the other dog jumping on each other, etc. They seem to make their own decisions around there as we were giving them business! This was not a playground for us and We’re supposed to use this time wisely however, As much as we tried to mind our business and keep distance from any trouble it’s still ended up being this situation I highly do not recommend this place do not waste your money. they basically stole...
Read moreI’m not a very picky person but our family did not have a great experience at this hotel. Downtown hotels were booked so we gave WoodSprings a fair chance, I’ll list out the pros and the cons here so you’ll be able to decide on staying for yourself - it is a smoking/non smoking hotel, this didn’t bother us but be prepared for the elevators to smell like an ash try. If you have any smoke sensitivity this isn’t for you. Next to the elevators there are vending machines fully stocked with good snacks and drinks. Our room appeared clean upon walk in, however, the sheets and towels had random hairs from past guests and when we used the bathroom rug between our beds it turned black so bring slippers or flip flops for your stay. Pro - no sign of bugs at all. We did see laundry being done upon check in so I think the random hairs were just stuck to the fibers. Check in is at 3 PM, don’t bother checking in any earlier because you’ll be turned away. With other properties if a room is available and clean you may be able to early check in, but not here. Bathrooms are for guests only - if you have to go at 2:45 but check in is at 3 you best drive up the road to Home Depot. Queen beds come with two thin pillows, staff leaves at some point during the night so we weren’t able to ask if extras were available. The website stated staff are available 24/7 but that was not the case for us. We took in about 4 hours total of sleep throughout the night, the room above us decided 2 am was the perfect time to rearrange all of their furniture and do the Cupid shuffle. It was extremely loud. Again, no one at the front desk to call about this. Check your shower heads before washing, ours had a ring of slime residue that we had to scrub with a wash cloth. DO NOT let anyone follow you through the doors, they may try. Doors are keycard entry only but that doesn’t deter people from trying to get in and head to the stairwells. The pros are that it was affordable and the mattresses were comfortable. Soap was also provided. Afternoon staff...
Read moreStayed on and off at this location for many years. I have stayed at others that were much nicer but this one was riddled with problems. The place was sort of clean but never quiet. Everything can be heard thru the walls. The fire alarm goes off on a regular basis. People seem to congregate in hallways on phones...not as clean either..people will leave trash in hallways a lot , which brings bugs (the last time I stayed I had a good bit too ). Lots of drug and criminal elements around. Beds are like cots and basically broken....and you will have a sore back after a few nights...they claim new Beds are coming for years ! Laundry room has constant problems. Pet friendly now (which means check the room first before you check in). Just about every time I have been to the dumpster there has been trash everywhere because the don't get it emptied enough. Try to find someone at the front desk a lot of times and you won't! ..wait till your key card goes all of a sudden and you have groceries ! If you are handicapped forget about the parking spot as they let people park the fancy cars there. I have an obligation to everyone who would look to stay there. Someone recently had to deal with this as well as myself so I have decided to speak up. I was there not too long ago and I decided to put this review out. By the way don't be tempted by the price ( which by the way keeps increasing). The people who have ran the place for years need to be removed as they are obviously a major part of the problems there. I had tried to deal with the owner and the management repeated times and it was a waste of time. I almost forgot to mention the suicide and the violence they have had there as well as the drunks out front who will bother you. I won't stay there anymore. I think they should be closed down. Beware. Look for another place. Pass it up...
