Came in wearing a mask and literally nobody was wearing a mask so I took mine off. Then this man came out of the shadows and aggressively told me to put my mask on in the rudest manner you can imagine. I then ordered my non-alcoholic beverage since I don't drink alcohol and sat down. My friend had been on the phone so he entered after all of this happened and the exact same man yelled at my friend and threatened him. This was shocking and we were so confused because it's not like we refused to wear the mask. Like I said literally nobody inside was wearing masks, yet we were the only two yelled at. I also noticed that I was the only person of color in the establishment. I mean I did not expect this in Asheville. Being from out of town, all we had was reviewed to use as our guide. We walked into the place, were guided to a table, tossed a menu to review and had the ordering process outlined to us. No real problem so far as COVID-19 has created the need apparently to have minimal verbal and physical contact and the need to read the extremely short description of each beer without description from a wait staff. The real issue came from the “music” pumped through the system. Five straight hip hop songs with lots of F bombs and the oh so despised N word. Not very family friendly by my book anyway. First and last time visitors.

This brewery at the "end" of Haywood Road where it turns left to go down to the river and the River Arts District is quite an operation. They must have spent some money to build out the space, which has the brewery vats and such, a big indoor space and two outdoor patios.
It doesn't serve food, but you're encouraged to bring your eats from the nearby Pizza Mind, Gan Shan Station West, The OWL and other restaurants in this increasingly busy part of West Asheville.
I had a coffee porter, made with Mountain City Coffee Roasters' Last Dance cold brew coffee. This is one porter with a distinctive coffee taste. There are 15 or so other craft beers on tap.
