MOST EXCELLENT DIVE BAR! I love this place! My daughter in law and her husband introduced me to this place for the first time this past weekend. I wish I lived closer so that I could go here more frequently. GREAT selection of beer, liquor and other drinks. The decor/atmosphere is excellent! Inside space is very welcoming and comfortable. Lots of outside seating (but it was really cold the night we were there so we stayed inside). Bartender was nice and helpful. Looks like they have all kinds of events all the time --- something for everybody. I WILL BE BACK!

Great little dive bar. I came here on a Sunday karaoke night. Started out at 10 pretty slow but as the night went on the place got pretty hopping. A lot of fun and the locals talked to me as a regular. The only miniscule down point was the the bartenders didn't rinse out the mixing shaker cups after each cocktail they made but I didn't deduct points for that because it was pretty busy. All in all I would come back when visiting again.

For many years I've had a policy of not giving a business a bad review. But my experience was so bad at the double crown that I had to change this.

I went to the venue last night, and was greeted by the rudest bouncer I've ever met. He asked to see my ID and vaccination card. As someone who is doubly vaccinated and has received a booster shot I was happy to comply. The bouncer took a minute and a half to look at my vaccination card and then raised his eyebrows at me before indicating that my vaccination card was a fake. I have been asked many, many times to show my vaccination card at places ranging from music venues to health facilities to educational institutions and I've never had this issue. I explained that the card was genuine and that I have never encountered this issue before. He then called me a liar and went on an arrogant ego trip, acting like he was an expert on vaccination cards.

I make a consistent effort to support local businesses, but the rude and immature behavior demonstrated by this bouncer will guarantee that I never support this...

This establishment should really post the fact that they require proof of vaccination to get in. We spent $40 between an uber to get there, then get told that we couldn't come in, then waiting for another uber to take us somewhere else. A waste of our money any our time. Worst representation of any place that we tried to go to during our stay in Asheville. We will make sure that we tell everyone we know not to visit the double crown. Owners should really think about posting the requirements on all social media platforms and directional info for people visiting the area. This was a very...
