I’ve been in the service industry for years, and I’ve eaten at many of our upscale restaurants and I am not one to balk at a high price tag. HOWEVER. My first time here, I decided to get the lobster roll. And let me tell you, I was SO PUMPED. I LOVE lobster rolls and I was so excited to try one here. So it comes out, and I thought there was a mistake. This lobster roll was practically miniature. It looked tasty, but it was just so little! All the lobster rolls I’ve experienced have been overflowing with filling and more of a meal sized item. So I decided to just keep the size in mind and maybe order something different next time. I started eating, and I’ve gotta say I was shocked! The filling wasn’t filling the roll, but was balanced on top concealing a mostly empty mini roll 🤣. The lobster salad had good flavor, but it was a little dry, if I’m being honest. The roll was stale and crumbly. Maybe during busy times it’s difficult to close the bread bag properly, but it may make a difference. ALL this being said, this is an owner problem. I normally don’t do reviews but I’m so disappointed in our lunch for the amount we paid including the tip for a total of $42.30. My husband and I came across this restaurant while visiting the art district. We liked the look of the menu for a quick lunch. We ordered the double cheeseburger and lamb gyro along with fries and hushpuppies. The burger had a good flavor but was rare and cold in the middle. I brought it to the staff’s attention and was told that is how they cook it. She described a slightly pink inside but it was rare. She did not offer to cook it to our liking. I did not see a sign on the chalkboard menu that said they served it rare. I could have overlooked it. It is online with an asterisk and description at bottom of online menu. If you like rare burgers then you will be very happy. I ordered the lamb gyro but got the falafel one instead. I didn’t return it since we were in a hurry. It was not my favorite sandwich since there was not much taste other than the tzatziki sauce. The hushpuppies were amazing and they did a great job with these.
