Update 3/27/2023: Check out the burned bread this location served me today. That’s not “…do(ing) unto others as you would have done unto yourself”, guys. This location still charges CFA premium prices, but serves up subpar food. Since I moved here, for over 2 years, this CFA location has consistently been the worst Chick-fil-A I’ve ever experienced. Corporate: look at the numbers, how is this location comparing in regard to revenue to others in this region? Perhaps it’s time for new ownership and new management?? Also, the cookies they serve and sell here are hard as a rock and dry. Since this location isn’t that busy, they freeze the cookies sometimes and then thaw them to sell. That’s not fresh food. To me, it’s worth the drive to the Arden Chick-fil-A location which is under different ownership and management, and serves fresh food.
Update 5/21/2022: I thought it would be a pain to drive to the new Chick-fil-A location, nearby on Arden Road. But it’s soooo worth it to go there instead, and enjoy soft biscuits and soft cookies instead of overcooked food at this location. I think the employees here are great (except for the ones who are responsible for taking biscuits and cookies out of the oven) but upper management here is complacent. Need new management and a new direction at this location. A CFA employee at the Arden location who used to work at this location said, “Yeah, that location isn’t great. There are definitely better food options elsewhere.” New management or ownership at this location, please. This Chick-fil-A location has been subpar for the past 2 1/2 years, since I moved to this area.
4-18-2022: I don’t know why I keep giving this CFA a try. I love the cookies at Chick-fil-A (they put oatmeal in them! 😋) but at this location, the cookies are always overcooked and hard as a rock. The one I received with my order today was so hard I could hardly break it in half. I have brought this up gracefully & patiently with one of the higher level managers (I think his name was Bill) and he just said, “Oh, yeah, I think when we’ve been short staffed due to COVID the cookies aren’t getting pulled out of the oven in time.” To me, when a product is overcooked and hard as a rock, you throw it away and try again, paying attention to the timing. You don’t sell poor quality product to the public anyway, for your own convenience and because you don’t care. That’s not very Christian-like, guys…. The cookies are nearly $4 each anyway. Since this location doesn’t care, then I no longer care to come here. Thank goodness there is a new location on Airport Road in Arden beside that huge Walmart. It will be worth the drive to get fresh food there 👍🏻, that has had a higher level of quality management. 🍪 The fresh cookies at other CFA locations are kind of a blond color, the cookies at this location are always dark brown, overcooked and hard.
3-25-2022: It’s always disappointing to come to this Chik-fil-A hoping for a warm, fresh cookie and get something burnt and hard, but sold like that, regardless. 9am Friday. Couldn’t eat half of it b/c it was so overcooked and hard. Yet, they sell them like this anyway. The new CFA on Airport Road in south Asheville or even the Hendersonville CFA are much better at quality assurance of items sold and taking things out of the oven before...
Read moreI have patronized this restaurant many times in the past and never had an experience quite like this one. I will explain. The new drive through procedure is sort of confusing. At this establishment customers who do not use an app to order can use both lanes. Normally at other places the app line is used only for those that order that way. My wife and I ordered a peach shake and stayed in the appropriate lane when ordering at the site. The individual who took our order was very nice and professional. This is the service you are accustomed to when at this restaurant. We waited an unusual amount of time to get to the pick-up area. Once there my wife remarked how confusing the new process was and felt it was broken. On top of that they were surprised when we told them we were waiting on a peach shake. Some of them began to laugh and make sneering comments. An older man at this area immediately said we need a shake and was professional in his approach to us. However a younger individual names Arron, which may or may not be his name. Began to be disrespectful and downright rude. He continued with comments that created more hostility, instead of trying to diffuse the issue. He persisted even as we were driving away. An example of one comment was after several attempts to get his name. His comment was my name is Arron. I am the errand boy. I run all the errands. It wasn’t so much what he said, but how he said it. It was done in a continuous manner. As if to instigate more argumentative conversation. I am very surprise by this based on Chic-Fil-A history. This is a business I have supported since my childhood having growing up in the Atlanta metro area. Never seen or experienced this type of behavior at this chain before. The one constant thing is this corporation is always consistent with its business model right down to its employees.
I did have the pleasure of speaking to Mark (Manager), who spoke to me very professional and apologized for the comments. I am sure he will address this appropriately. This young man may need additional training in regards to handling customers.
I am very disturbed about this incident and believe discussion and understanding can...
Read moreI wasn't going to write a review, but then I got home and getting the wrong order tipped me over the edge. I was waiting in line behind a large group that were all taking up the counter space by the cashiers. Two cashiers were free. Neither greeted me over to order. Then someone just walks in but knows the group ordering so one of the guests ushers him to the free cashier in front of me and told him to order there. I decided to be the bigger person and not make a stink about it. I finally was greeted by a cashier and was crowded with three people standing RIGHT behind me as I tried to order. Finally I wait a few minutes and leave with my order. I get all the way back to work with traffic to find out that I did not get what I ordered AT ALL. Not only that but I could not eat what I was given. I ordered a chick fila deluxe. Since I wasnt asked what cheese, I thought it came with no cheese. Instead I got a spicy deluxe (which fine I could get over), with pepperjack. And I am severely lactose intolerant. My work is too far away to go back and change the sandwich, AND I wasnt given a receipt so it's not like I can go back. But dont worry, I wint ever go back. If management sees this, it was a short blonde girl that put my order in. She was curious when I was finally about to walk out the door. I was at the hendersonville rd store in Asheville, and ordered at around 2:15pm in a black jacket and...
