I would like to be realistic and truthful to help any individual(s) that may decide to eat here. Arrived about 7 pm on a Thursday. Staff, four : two servers, a cashier and one cooker all looked exhausted and their expressions reminded me of the 16 hour days I used to work. There were about four people ahead of us. I decided to try to make the first girl laugh, and take her mind off whatever it was. She smiled and needed some time to get more food as many bins were empty. It reminded me of a not popular, empty Chinese buffet that you walk out of as soon as you realize there’s no people and no food. The tortilla machine was not working right off the bat so no wraps. The second server took our order , had no smile and energy and slapped in 1/3 the portion you’d normally receive and the food was scraping the bottom of the metal tins. The cooker was more interested in his phone than truly wanting to create more food. I was truly disgusted and wanted to walk out as the bowl looked like what you’d find in the bottom of a garbage can. My wife looked at me and said just make it through. The blond server was cutting the portions by 2/3 to be able to save whatever was left to get through the next couple of hours. There was no carne asada, no regular chicken, no pulled pork , no white rice although my wife did wait and got some from the only nice woman there. I did not eat it when we got home. I will never go to this location ever again. There should have been a manager on duty watching this disgrace, and they certainly need more help. What happened to them.? It’s right in the heart of a popular Asheville eatery area. Image shown was the portion after...
Read moreDismal. The only way I can describe this experience is dismal.
We asked for a double wrapped burrito. By the time we took the meal outside, it had fallen apart to the point where it was no longer recognizable as a burrito.
We also asked on a different item to have a burrito pressed under the tortilla press for a moment to melt some cheese(in support of a member of our party with specials). The staff member proceeded to scamper to "ask their manager". Then deny it with nothing less than pure resentment and distain in their voice.
While these major malfunctions in the customer relations portion of this visit were infuriating enough, to top it off the food itself was awful. The chips were stale. The queso was lukewarm and tasted off. We found at least 2 hairs in our items(if I had to guess the lack of hairnets among the team probably contributed on this point.).
Without a doubt, this was a bad experience. While I have no doubt that my complaining will make no difference to a multi million dollar company. I would like to impress upon anyone who happens to read this drivel that this Chipotle is perhaps the worst one I have ever been to. Avoid this place like the plague, and hopefully it'll...
Read moreGreat place to eat in Asheville, NC February 2022 saw this restaurant chain open its 3000 stores in the United States with their ultimate goal being 7000 stores in the US. I have been to many of their locations. A Chipotle chicken bowl is one of my comfort foods. They specialize in bowls and burritos with fresh ingredients cooked and prepared where the consumer can see them. This particular one is located on the east side of Hendersonville Road in Asheville, NC at the end of a small shopping center. Parking may be a little limited right next to the store. There are about 20 spaces in the parking lot and more in adjacent lots. It is located in a stand-alone building. The main entrance is on the west side. This has the most windows along one side which makes the dining room very open and bright. I ordered a Chicken bowl (what a surprise. It was quite good and prepared right in front of me. The restaurant was busy and relatively clean for the number of patrons and the number of people present. The price was reasonable for the area (and the times). The staff was pleasant. Overall a very pleasant experience and a place I recommend to my...
