I ordered takeout from here this evening, and quite frankly, it was gross. I didn't even eat half of it. I ordered a medium build a bowl, but the medium came out looking rather small. It makes me wonder what the actual small looks like.
Everything tasted bland and old. There wasn't an inkling of seasoning on this food. I don't think there was even any salt on it. I ordered brown rice as a base, but my bowl came with white rice. White rice wasn't even an option on the build a bowl menu. The vegetables were very mushy except for the carrots. The carrots were hard as a rock, and they were also just chopped up baby carrots. You know, the kind you get as a side with a plate of wings.
The food smelled old and unappealing. It was as if every component was cooked yesterday and just warmed up in the microwave today. It definitely didn't give off the vibe of fresh and healthy. It gave off the vibe of mixing canned vegetables with instant rice and Kraft shredded cheese from the bag. I'm not saying that's what they did, but it sure seemed and tasted like it.
It was very low effort and disappointing. Especially since one single bowl without a drink cost $16. It makes me suspicious of green-washing. Which is when a company uses false environmentally friendly/ healthy marketing in order to boost their sales. This was my first time eating from here, and it was an awful first impression. I don't wish to order from here again. It's sad bc I was really looking forward to a meal that was actually fresh...

Read moreAs a business owner in the construction industry, an avid golfer and hitting the gym early every morning, I am constantly on the move between the office, jobsites and the golf course. . I had tried other meal delivery services but it was when I found my local Clean Eatz that I was super impressed. Eating healthy is difficult, time consuming and frustrating in my position. Clean Eatz has solved all those issues on top of the food being delicious. Meals stay in my fridge at the office for a quick breakfast after working out and lunch/afternoon meal at the office or on the go. I am a avid golfer and one goes with me for a good meal at the turn. Pop one in the cooler running around to jobsites. Road trip, I hear one up before leaving and stick it in my hot bag. Before, all of this was frustrating and ultimately led to unhealthy eating. Now, I always have a healthy meal with me, it's 2-3 times less a week in what I was spending before not to mention the time saved at the grocery store, kitchen, restraunts or drive thrus at breakfast/lunch/dinner. I highly recommend giving them a try for any busy professional who is looking to maximize their health,...
