So we've all noticed that the best you're going to get from a fast food restaurant is during the first few weeks. The employees are excited, working hard and enjoying their jobs. The owner is involved and concerned. After that everyone looks for shortcuts and the quality often drops. I decided to run an experiment at this Runza in Ashland. I came in once a week, ordering the exact same thing each time. #2 with onion rings and a dip. the first several weeks this Runza was awesome. A few weeks ago I came in about 1/2 hour before the dining room closed. One young lady was mopping the floor and another was sitting at a table. The one mopping made a face at me which I'm sure she didn't think I saw and the other girl laughed loudly. That night the food was okay. After that experience I decided to not go back. Tonight, I thought let's give it another try and see how the experiment is going. Well, the #2 with a dip was unfortunately as I might have expected. The runza was cold. See attached photo. The cheese stood no chance to melt in this mess. The onion rings were mildly warmish and appeared to have been sitting around for a while. The restaurant was filthy, but to be honest, shortly after I came in a couple employees came out and started cleaning, so I may have just caught them at the end of a rush. So I have my answer as to how long it will take this location to falter. Really sad as in a small town like this it's really important to keep the...
Read moreCame in this evening after a long day grabbing something quick for my family least I thought. Ordered a cheeseburger meal. Kids meal and a #2. First time ever I have been asked to park around front at a Runza. After a 10 min wait (not the issue) get my food drive all the way to the other side of Ashland get home and realize I got a chicken grilled chicken sandwich instead of a cheese Runza. I’m tired and hangry now so I go back walk inside and keep my cool. Gal mopping was nice enough to ring my order up for a Runza and I did ask for some fresh fries for the inconvenience. She walks to the back and I see multiple employees coming to look back at me whatever. Then another girl comes and says they can’t find my original order and that if I got a receipt. Never did get my receipt. She makes a big deal about it I just wanted the food that I ordered. After a short wait a some punk kid walks up throws the bag with sandwich on the counter and goes we’re making an exception this time next time have your receipt. At this point I did lose my cool. Don’t get the where the entitled attitude from a group of kids is coming from but management needs to step up. The experience I had was completely unacceptable and I do apologize for my colorful language but I had lost...
Read moreI had an amazing experience and wanted to share. I was visiting family and wanted to purchase some runzas to take back home to ND with me. I called and spoke to the manager and he was so nice. I told him I wanted to buy 10 runzas and take home with me. He made sure they were boxed and ready to go and during our call told me to have a safe trip home. I went to pick them up and on the box it said thank you and once again have a safe trip home. It's the little things like this that I love. I also purchased an order to go and received great service from Lillee who waited on me. The food was amazing, as always, and the service was excellent. ...
