This is my third time actually. I've had a problem every time. The first time I received my food but was completely ignored afterwards when I was looking to order another drink. I was about 20 minutes before I could get my check. Like I have nothing else to do in my life, while he(Josh) talks to other patrons.
The second time I was with a friend. They ordered a sandwich before I arrived. We talked and talked and I ordered a steak dinner. The most expensive. My food came and I ate it before my friend spoke up, having never received their food. I was not happy. My friend ended up saying nevermind 35 minutes later, and you can't blame him. They'd ordered their food before I even sat down. I was not pleased, yet again.
Today I ordered drinks. Appetizers. A dinner. Everything was great except they brought me burnt bread. I said I'll finish my meal and ask for bread after. .
I finished my meal, and asked for silverware and bread. I was brought an empty napkin and bread.
When I asked why I was given an empty napkin a guest behind me said I was disturbing their meal. Maybe they should mind their own business, because I was very quiet.
So I adked for a manager. The manager said it's okay another guest paid for it to keep you quiet. This is like the twilight zone. You go to every extent to not hand me silverware?
I just wanted silverware and asked why I couldn't get any? Appearently this is forbidden in backwoods USA. I even told the manager I didnt want a free meal, I just wanted silverware. Nope nope.
Pure twilight zone. This is too much to ask. So me nor my friends will ever be back. And all said issues came from the same emoloyee, named Josh.
Its been 3 visits in 90 days, once per month. I gave him a chance 3 times and was let down again and again. If this is what you think is good service you're sadly miseducated. Come on up north to find out what...
Read moreThe servers are consistently excellent—I’ve returned many times for the service alone, even on occasions when I didn’t particularly enjoy the food because we are always treated with genuine care. The hosts, however, present a stark contrast. More often than not, their demeanor is very unfriendly. While hosting may seem like a small part of the overall dining experience, it’s the very first interaction a new guest has upon entering. When that initial greeting comes across as dismissive or downright rude, it’s impossible not to notice the difference compared to the warmth and attentiveness of the servers.
For example, when I walked in today, I wasn’t greeted at all, which isn’t atypical, but I approached the stand, only to be met with a look that seemed to say, “Can I help you?” I took the cue to tell Kylee that my name was on the waitlist, since it was clear she wasn’t going to communicate verbally. Heaven forbid she be the one to take the initiative to ask for my name, whether we were on the waitlist, or how many were in my party. Thankfully, I’ve been here enough times to navigate the situation without much confusion, but it’s the principle of the matter—and the poor attitude—that stands out.
Typically, I just assume that hosts are simply having a rough day, judging by their typical expressions and tone. But over time, the pattern has only become more consistent, almost as though guests are an inconvenience rather than the reason for the role itself. Given that hosting is such a customer-facing position, at the very least, I expect someone standing there to be polite. Unfortunately, even that seems to be asking too much.
Shoutout to KIM for the phenomenal service— it is people like her why we even consider coming back. This was the first time we’ve ever gotten her, and she provided even better service than the usual person we request (if...
Read moreI’m not usually one to write reviews but I went to get a pick up order and the whole experience was just a nightmare, which surprised me because I only had a simple pickup order for one person. I ordered a 16 oz sirloin with a loaded baked potato, a salad, a drink and 12 rolls. When I got there it was extremely busy which was understandable for a Saturday. The line took me 15 mins to get through the drive through window, they gave me my food and told me to have a great day so I left. I was never given my drink. I am assuming this happened because the entire time the worker at the window was talking to her coworker instead of making sure I had everything. I was already cutting it close and needed to get to work so I stopped at McDonalds for my drink. When I got to work I tried to eat my dinner but I had no silverware and no dressing for the salad AND IT HAD EGGS (which I specifically asked not be on there because I don’t like them). I understand you are busy but what upsets me the most was the brown bag had written on it 1 Salad with ranch and sprite so you were obviously aware the order needed it. This is just so obviously people not caring about their job but when someone spends almost 40 dollars on a meal the least you can do is give them everything they ordered. When I called, the lady was very friendly which is the only reason I’m not giving 1 star and tried to email me something but I asked for a refund. Hopefully, they refund the SALAD and DRINK since the salad was not edible anyway but I am not hopeful. NEVER going to the Texas Roadhouse in Ashland again. At least the workers at the one in WV can read and put what you ordered in the bag. Such an aggravating thing...
