Banter by Piercing Pagoda — Local services in Ashland

So we went here because ear piercing is free after you buy earrings. We wanted the pair $75. The piercing was free. Didn’t know that they threw in $20 advcare cleaned and $20 warranty (even after I specifically said I didn’t want it) without asking me! Total came to 116$ and I didn’t realize they got one over on me until we were getting in the car. Just seemed distrustful.

Update: searched on google and apparently this is a common problem: Potential for Scams: Some customers report being upsold unnecessary products or services, like piercing spray or insurance.

Another update: I called the customer service number to get my 40$ back and they told me their systems do not communicate via store location to corporate (online or call in systems). So prepare yourselves if you want a refund you’ve got to go back to the location and confront the people at the kiosk. Which I will be doing and dragging all three kids with me and it’s very inconvenient due to my husband working out of town this week. So I will have to do the footwork regardless it being their mistake. (I tried to save myself a trip… but their phone system rings once and then hangs up after 4 beeps)

Update: One of the girls working at the kiosk called me from this review and told me that it was a miscommunication between the workers (herself (Rae and (Billy) the woman that ran the register during my visit. She explained that they would not purposely charge undisclosed charges and apologized. Rae told me that they would give me back the (actual credit amount) $36. I wrote up there with my kids and the did refund...

This was not my first option of a place to get a simple earring but after stopping at several stores I was helped by a female worker with blue hair. I hate that that is how I have to give a description but I do not remember her name.

she was very polite and very helpful and enjoyable to be around! I rated five stars due to the help and the customer service that I received. I would go back to this location and would be glad to bring business to this worker and know they would be helped with a great attitude and with as much effort...
