I went to Laspadas Steaks and Hoagies in Aston, PA, and let me tell you, it was a gem of a find. This old-school, genuine Italian hoagie shop is everything you want when you're craving a true Philly experience. The atmosphere hits you right away—it's the kind of joint where you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. The bread was simply out of this world, with a perfect crusty exterior and a soft, chewy inside that made every bite a delight.
The counter lady was the real deal. She greeted me with a big smile and a warm "How ya doin'?"—classic Philly hospitality. She could tell I was indecisive and suggested an amazing prosciutto and sharp provolone hoagie. Man, she knew what she was talking about. The flavors were off the charts, with the salty prosciutto and the tangy provolone working together in perfect harmony. She also recommended I throw on some hot and sweet peppers, and boy, did that make a difference. Those peppers added the perfect kick and sweetness that took the sandwich to another level.
It was a total random stop, but it felt like I hit the jackpot. Laspadas has that authentic, no-frills vibe that makes you feel right at home. The hoagie was packed with fresh ingredients, piled high just the way it should be. Every bite was a reminder of why Philly is known for its hoagies. The whole experience was just top-notch, from the friendly service to the incredible food. It's the kind of place where you can tell they've been doing it right for years.
If you're ever in Aston, you gotta check out Laspadas. It's the kind of place that makes you proud to be from Philly, with that genuine, down-to-earth charm and seriously good eats. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot is a must-visit. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreChecked out this really cool little steak shop tonight for dinner with my daughter. We were heading down to a college hockey game at the ice rink around the corner and I stumbled upon this place. I always love to read the reviews prior to going in this one had some amazing reviews for the cheesesteaks. we ended up getting two cheesesteaks order french fries and two drinks. The bills roughly $35 a regular size cheesesteak is 12 inches in size and is packed with meat. I don’t know how big the large size was but I can only assume it’s around 19 inches but I can’t confirm that. The cheesesteak was absolutely delicious just meat onions that were nicely sautéed and plenty of cheese. The meat packed. The rule in the rule was just amazingly perfect, nice and soft just taste the freshness. French fries were just perfect as well and I love that they served the crinkle cut kind. The inside was pretty big and wide open and very well lit. The staff was very friendly and attentive from the moment, we walked in the door. They do have men’s in woman’s bathrooms in the police and there is plenty of well lit parking outside is this facility is inside of a strip mall. If you’re looking for a very good Philadelphia style cheesesteak then don’t hesitate to try...
Read moreThe food was okay. We got a cheese steak, chefs salad, casino burger, fries, 10 wings, potato skins, buffalo cutlets, and jalapeno poppers. I was surprised when she gave me the total on the phone. When I added it up the menu prices it was $10 less than their total. Went I went to pick it up, we asked about the price discrepancy and asked if they had raised their prices without updating their website. We were told yes, they've been raising there prices every time their vendors do each week. That's fine, I understand that stuff is happening, but put something on your website and Google My Business saying prices may differ or something do customers aren't shocked when paying. Got home to eat. Casino burger doesn't have the fried onions it's supposed to come with and was on a kaiser roll. The buffalo cutlets had the disgusting blue cheese dressing that we asked to not be included ( when they read back the order they said no blue cheese otherwise I would've corrected them). Don't think we'll be ordering from them again...
