Awesome Mexican food. We loved AJ's and were sad to see it was no longer around, but when I read some of the reviews (and saw the pics of the food) of the new place, we just had to try it on our way back from Pismo Beach to the Bay Area. It was just as good, probably even better! I had a carnitas torta, which was delicious -- tender flavorful pork, creamy queso fresco, and an amazing bun. Daughter got a breakfast sandwich with bacon and hash browns, and wife got the chicken breakfast plate, both good. Malu's kitchen was also on this tidy strip of South California. The woman who provided service inside the small, little restaurant and tiny gift shop proficiently took our orders and while man cooked them.
