Idk the guys name but 8/3 pm is when this occurred. It took him about a full minute to get up to the counter and off his phone, which I wasn't to alarmed with because I was looking over the options. I went in with the intention of getting a non dairy treat for my partner with a dairy allergy. I saw the sign of the list of what was non dairy and I said " oh good so you have a prepackaged thing of non dairy ice cream, that's good my partner has an allergy" and the employee pointed at the freezer and said "I don't know what we have go look" so I did , and I didn't see a non dairy one, so I said " oh, I don't see a non dairy option, how seriously do you take allergies" to which he just shrugged and pointed at the non dairy options. Understanding this behavior and lack of seriousness could've put my partner in the hospital I just asked for something for myself (a shake) to which he rolled his eyes and quickly made and slid on the counter. I asked for whipped cream to which he quickly answered " no we don't have any." And I said "oh ok" the drink was a whole $10+ and I felt extremely pushed to get out. I've never had someone treat an allergy this way. I understand it's the end of the night but the understanding of something that could end someone's life should come with accepting a job in customer service. I don't like people either, but that's the bare minimum when working...
Read moreThe ice cream is as always excellent. The service, however, notsomuch (hence the star). We went on a Wednesday evening. Displayed store hours until 12am. We arrived around 9:10pm. Two girls working at the store. Two customers in front of us, our group was five, and at least six more customers behind us -- THIRTEEN people in line. The lovely girl helping all of us was working her butt off trying to get orders done quickly. The other girl? PERFORMING HER CLOSING DUTIES. THREE HOURS before closing. I understand wanting to get your stuff done early so you can close up shop on time, but that is ridiculous. I suggest management have a chat with the staff about the importance of customer service vs closing duties.
And if you want some B&J ice cream late evening, you might as well go ahead and pick up a pint at your local...
Read moreThree of us walked from our offices to B&J's to get ice-cream for a break. When we walked in there was no one in the store. We couldn't find an employee. It turns out he was sitting outside of the building with his headphones on. He came in and took our order, but never took his headphones off. They also had no waffle cones so we ordered 2 single scoops of ice cream and the total was over $17. I looked up a pint of B&J on the Publix website and it is $6.63. I could have essentially bought 3 pints for what I paid for 2 scoops, and had quality service because Publix. I do have a picture of the kid sitting outside on his phone - because he went back out there after we left- but I am not putting it on here because of privacy issues. But really, you all need to go out...
