Several months ago, I gave this place a 5 star review. At that time, I felt they deserved it. I have changed my mind. When I visited last night, I was informed there were no drinks. Seriously, none. I was told to either get coffee or water if I wanted drinks. No big deal, things happen. Then I was told, in these exact words: âno ice cream either. We ainât got nothing. We out of everythingâ. Again, not really a big deal but she could have said it a little more professionally. I figured the employees were probably under some stress seeing as how they were out of âeverythingâ and I brushed it off. Then Iâm told, with her finger pointing up: â I couldnât hear this persons order because you were talkingâ. Now thereâs just no need for accusing me of interrupting, and even if there was, say it nicely. Again, I brushed it off, mainly because I donât like upsetting people who handle my food. So I move on to the second window to get my order. The young lady there was worse. She had the window open, so I could hear her complain about how she wished her shift was over, and as she was sweeping, I heard her say âthis st is nastyâ. Then she proceeds to ask me if I know what time it is, so I tell her. She responded âman, I still got 3 hours in this motha f*g place and I gots to be here tomorrow too, dn.â Iâm appalled. I canât believe that the employees had the nerve to speak to a customer this way. I finally get my food after about a ten minuet wait, and I asked for the bbq sauce and a straw (I got iced coffee, because as I said before, no sodas). She acted like I had asked her for a billion dollars. Like how dare I need a straw and sauce for the McNuggets. While I know that McDonaldâs isnât the healthiest place or the nicest place in town, I go often because my kids enjoy it and itâs a treat for them. I have always gone out of my way to visit this McDonaldâs because it was a little nicer than the others in town. Not anymore. I will not as long as I live be back to this location. I will drive to the next town if I have to, but never again will I give my business to this place. The management should be ashamed and the employees should be ashamed. I honestly can not believe this how they want to be...
Read moreIf I could give this location 0 stars or negative stars, I would. Yesterday, I went through the drive-thru and ordered a smoky blt quarter pounder with no lettuce. Upon paying and asking for a receipt, I was told the receipt printer wasnât working, which means it was likely out of paper & no one bothered to train the cashier on how to change it. When I took the a bite of the sandwich, I realized it was coldâŚthe meat had been sitting and was thrown on the bun, the bun was cold, the cheese was cold. If the burger had been cooked fresh, that would have helped the situation. I couldnât even eat it. I called back and Ms. Betty advised me to mention that I spoke with her and they would replace it. Today, I was in the vicinity and decided to stop and get the replacement. I went through the drive-thru again and advised the cashier of the replacement sandwich and my conversation with Ms. Betty. He said Ms. Betty is not here and then he asked me to hold on. The assistant manager came to the intercom and I explained the situation. Thereafter, she says the sandwiches are made-to-order, which has nothing to do with my sandwich because it was cold. She then goes on to say, âMs. Betty didnât mention this to me.â Again, nothing to do with me. Then, finally said, âWe donât do replacement orders in the drive-thru.â I told them I would come some other time, but I will NEVER come back to this location again. This is no longer about a burger. It is about the principle of the situation and poor customer service. I hope Ms. Betty finds a better job than McDonaldâs on West Broad Street in Athens, as she was the only one that attempted to make things right. If you are considering eating there, donât waste your money. There are lots of other restaurants on...
Read moreSo this just happened at this location (Athens, corner of Hawthorne). Four pm, unusual time for breakfast, certainly, but breakfast is always available, right? I ordered an Eggwhite delight, add lettuce and tomato, a large fry, and a half-and-half tea. When I got to the first window to pay, I handed the cashier a hundred-dollar bill, as that was all I had. Upon seeing it, she burst out, âDICK!â She snatched the bill from my hand and dashed out of sight. When she returned, she handed me my ninety-some-odd dollars in return, the crispy new twenty-dollars bills crumpled now in her rage at being made to make change. Whatever, Girl-whose-name-will-forever-be-unimportant-to-me-but-who-has-dyed-red-(pink,not-orange)-hair, sorry to make you do the job for which you get paid; sorry I couldnât make your life easier by having correct change for you. Iâm DREADFULLY SORRY you had to (OHmyGOD) break a hundred dollar bill. I wish there could be a way to make it all worthwhile for you, maybe something like paying you an hourly wage for your work. If only there were something...
Oh, then, when I went to eat my sandwich, it had a whole egg, not eggwhite. I canât eat the yolk; itâs a medical thing. So PinkHair called me a dick, to my face in an angry tone, and ruined my lunch. Nice form; you get what you pay for, am I right? Worst restaurant (not just McDonalds) experience of my life. Absolutely worthless. I wish âzero starsâ...
