Got email about sale today downloaded coupons to account & made the trip. Went to newly opened location. Very cramped, chopped up, hard to find anything. Overly inflated prices. Beware of jewelry section if you are faint of heart. As if large cameras recording your every move & played back onscreen isn't enough- every minute or so you will hear a LOUD male voice stating you are shopping in the jewelry aisle. No kidding Sherlock. Made me jump everytime because it sounds like it is right over the top of your head couldnt concentrate or even enjoy looking. Also hard to look while area was being stocked but wasn't asked if I needed them to move- so I looked the best I could. Asked about clearance because email said up to 80% off -was told they didn't have any. Proceeded to pick out a few more things I needed after wandering aimlessly through maze of store. Since I had downloaded coupons before I left home was sure checkout wouldn't be a problem. WRONG. I asked did I need to enter my account # on keypad. She said after I scan. I let her know which item I wanted her to use the 50% on so I wouldn't get scammed on lowest item as others have stated on here. She said so you have your coupon? & I said I downloaded to my account. She said well that won't work corporate wants you to download the app so the coupons will show on your phone. I said well why do they have you download them to your account if they don't work? She kept repeating that corporate wanted the customers to download their app and proceeded to pull out a sheet of barcodes. I thought she would say I can scan this for you but she never did so I said what do I need to do and she again told me that corporate wanted me to download the app to use the coupons. I told her that i had already had a bad shopping experience & that was okay she could just keep everything. I won't be back. I will shop at Hobby Lobby. Including driving time 2 hours of my life wasted I...
Read moreMy original review was five stars. This really is one my favorite stores, and I shop here frequently. Twice a month at minimum, usually more. The employees are wonderful and they have done a fantastic job of making it easy and safe to shop or do curbside pickup during these hard times that we are experiencing. That being said, I have had some not so great interactions with one employee the last couple of times Iâve been. I was near the frames and canvases, and just happened to see this employee so I decided Iâd ask him where I could locate an item I donât usually buy. He seemed a bit annoyed, and said âdefinitely not in this area!â then vaguely pointed in the direction of the item. I figured he must be working hard, and I let it go. No big deal, right? But the next time I was in the store, I had my son with me. We were buying supplies to make tie dye shirts. The same man was working, and again we kinda just happened to see him walking around so my son asked if they had rubber bands (which you need for tie dye). He told my son âwe donât have those! This is a craft store, try an office supply store!â My son asked a simple question and this mans response had him in tears. My son said he felt like an idiot for asking, and no one should make any child feel that way. I will continue to shop at this store, but I will avoid any interaction with...
Read moreWent to get some stuff for my wife. I have never been to Michaels, so I had no idea where to even look for googly eyes and 10mm palm palms. I looked around the store for someone to help me and, when I couldn't find anyone, went to the front to see if a cashier could help me find someone. I was ignored and when I started to ask one of the cashiers of she could find me some help, she turned around and walked away. I wound up having to find another customer to help me and we were able to find the supplies. When I checked out, I informed the cashier (not the same cashier previously mentioned) of the issue and that I had to get another customer to help me. I told her that I wasn't upset, but I simply wanted to be treated like a human being. She explained that they were short on staff, and I stated that it would've been great if someone had simply said that I would receive help soon. She replied that it isn't that easy and I retorted that is exactly that easy, and one would simply have to say those words. 2 stars because they did have the items in stock and I was able to get in and out once I find...
