Would not recommend this place for dining or while applying a job. They advertised positions that I applied for but they said only one position was available, so I was fine with it, they also said training will be available. On the day they called me in for training, a woman told me over the phone to come in for training, and informing me on the attire she wanted me wear(she only said black pants and black shoes) but when I showed up the other employee in what appears to be speaking in an authoritarian position, told me that they usually wear a black shirt too and I did not know that, he said it's fine to meet him for next day at 5:00pm. On the next day, I show up 25 mins early in full attire and there was no manager or anyone ready to train me. The employees there treated like I was an unexpected arrival, so they had a random guy train me but he said he was also new and only worked there for 3 weeks. After the day was over, the bartender told me "The manager will call you tomorrow to schedule another day for training". However, that day I never did got a call, so I called back around afternoon and a man answered it, and I explained everything and he said "I will get in touch with the manager and he will contact you tomorrow" I responded "thank you!" and he hanged up the phone. 3rd day come amd no one called me again. I think they do not have their own human resources department, so communication seems almost immensely impossible. I would also like to say that in my experience with just the one day of training, they only had me watch and observe how they do their work, and where everything is on the floor, and in the back where the kitchen is, and it looked...
Read moreThoroughly disappointed with my most recent experience. I had not realized when I came back, that the management had changed. When I first arrived, the new menu was a design disaster. Their were no traditional plates, the division of food was erratic and confusing, and multiple spelling errors.
The waitress was pushing around a clunky loud dish cart with the drinks/dishes on it. I ordered a hot tea, and a hibachi noodle dish.
My appetizer arrived after part of my main course. The salad was drenched in sauce, like 70% dressing. The miso soup tasted old and like mushroom puree. My tea arrived in a generic multicolored dollar general mug. But the tea itself was good.
My hibachi noodles dish was atrocious. My plate was evenly divided into fourths with diced chicken, noodles, vegetables, and plain fried rice. The chicken was diced into large chunks and had a tart sauce on the outside but tasted plain.. The noodles were fettuccine noodles with some tart sauce but not as bad as the rice. The rice was inedible.
The lights were flickering in and out, likely due to the weather but unsure, and there was a very loud banging sound while we ate. We asked for seperate checks and received our bills in the same check book.
Would...

So I normally get sushi at samurai steakhouse but they are closed on Tuesday. So I came here since they were open and I am highly disappointed. I have had better sushi at Publix. Hell I believe gas station sushi is better then the current state of sushi at Ninja.
I will leave my previous review up but I had to update this since I just ate here for the first time since the pandemic was over.
(What follows was the original review from 2019)
Excellent restaurant in a desert of small town grub. Athens does not have a lot of restaurants but this is definitely one of the best. The attention to detail and food prep are what makes this place stand above the rest.
I love their sushi and can highly recommend it. As always if a fat boy tells you it's good eatin then you best be prepared to Chow down. Staff is kind and knowledgeable. Cooks are impressive. The only thing that could be better is the rice. Highly recommend you give...
