Update - 8 mos after original post on 4/30/22 Returned to the location to give another try (even though the owner never contacted me after my original post). My husband ordered the T-bone, loaded potato, and salad. I ordered a cheeseburger (no bun), loaded potato, grilled mushrooms. Both orders were to be well done.
My husband received his salad dressing, but no salad. We were given loaded toppings for one potato only. My burger was medium-medium well. I received one piece of shriveled up lettuce and one slice of onion for my burger.
I tried to give this location another chance. I understand being understaffed. I do. What I do not understand is the incompetence of the staff who is present.
This location is absolutely horrific. I have no idea how they have managed to stay in business. The last SEVERAL times I have this location it is always something - food left off of the order, incorrect food, food not ready after placing online/phone order and waiting 20-30 min before even leaving home to go pick up. I’ve even been in there during the height of Covid - there is a big sign telling all customers that “masks are required,” yet only ONE worker had on a mask. All the while, the manager who has been forced to man the grill and complained the whole time about how it’s not her job, is standing OVER the food while talking on her cell phone! After all of that, I’ve still tried to give this location chances - because I love Steakout. But, after tonight, I will never visit the Athens location again. I placed an online order at 7:19. I received an emailed online receipt with an estimated delivery time of 60 min. I know times vary, I get that. I waited 90 min., and called to check on the status of my delivery. The lady was short and rude with me - saying in a matter of fact tone that she didn’t have my order. I let her know that I had a receipt. She cut me off, asking my address (again). I repeat it. She shouts it to someone in the background (getting it wrong). I hear the person say, “I don’t have it.” The lady proceeds to repeat that they didn’t get my order. I repeat that I have a receipt. After some back and forth, and her passing me off to someone else, I was told that “they” never faxed over my order and shouldn’t have sent me a receipt if “they” hadn’t faxed the order. “They” being the company in charge of Steakouts online orders. Through all of this, I was never offered an apology. I was never issued a “ma’am, I understand that this is inconvenient.” The order hadn’t been received. I could place my order over the phone, and wait another “45 min.” I ended up hanging up on the lady - as I said - it’s always something at this location. The fact that absolutely NO ONE was willing to offer - minimally an apology was the last straw. Blame was placed on the online company. Fine. That still didn’t solve my problem. I’m done with the Athens location, which means I’m probably done with Steakout as the other locations are too far...
Read moreI decided to do online order for delivery. I have never had a problem before. I always get the large steak tips with loaded bake potato.
First I tried to download their app they have posted on their webpage and it doesn't work. Went to Google Play and it's not on their either. So I just did it through their webpage.
Order everything just fine except it doesnt give you the option to added loaded to your potato and tries to make you order another baked potato loaded on top of the one you get with your meal. Literally whoever designed their website needs to be fired and I hate to see the app if it ever comes out maybe they will just leave the link up on their webpage to trick people.
This is the kicker and mind you I have ordered quite a few times from this steak-out but always over the phone. My bill is always the same roughly $16.43 and I always give the delivery driver a $20 and tell to keep the change.
Well apparently according to their online ordering I have to order $50+ before they will deliver to my house that they have already delivered numerous times to before with no issue. $50 minimum fee is beyond ridiculous and it cost you a customer and more. My family will no longer be ordering from this steak-out and neither will anybody known to me.

Read moreNovember 3rd approximately between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. my mother and I stopped and spent almost $43 on two large steak tip dinners. First of all there was only one woman in the store . There were five breast fillets on the Grill. I asked the lady if she needed to flip them before she took our order. In the distance I hear an employee say no I've got it. The gentleman walks up with a pack of Newport cigarettes in his hand. Goes in the office comes out (I'm assuming to set his cigarettes down on the desk). Doesn't even wash his hands. Puts on gloves and walked straight to the grill. We ordered them medium-rare. I specifically asked for them to be cooked properly. Both orders were cooked well done. This is extremely disappointing for me personally. have lived in Central Florida ( they do not have steak out) for the last seven years I just moved back to Limestone County. Steak-Out was one of the highlights for me moving back!! I've always loved their steak tips. I will never go to steak out in Limestone County again worst...
