I love aldi! I now do about 80% of my grocery shopping here! I do my weekly shopping here and once a month I go to Sam's and somewhere else for my meats and certain name brands my family "must have"..... their meat section is a bit disappointing and sometimes something will look like a good deal but really you can get a better deal paying slightly more for a larger quantity elsewhere.. I have Found that the majority of their no name brands are just as good as name brands elsewhere... you can also get name brand at times here as well… I have sometimes been disappointed for them to not have something that they usually carry and I found that it's better to not go with too specific of a grocery list because their inventory changes often.. You have to make sure to remember a quarter for your buggy though a lot of times people give you one for free or the cashier will lend you one (you get your quarter back when you return your buggy) ...also you've got to be fast on the unloading of your groceries on to the belt because it's like a race for the cashier to get them scanned and then thrown into your buggy.. check out actually gives me hard core anxiety here ...They sell plastic bags, paper bags and reusable bags at checkout for when you forget your bags but I just keep bags in my car now all the time... over all the slight inconveniences are totally worth the way cheap prices and getting out of the grocery store in...
Read moreBest Value Grocery Store On The Planet. Save on your grocery bill & household items here, every week. Although their Produce section has the same low prices as the rest of the store, the quality of fruits & veggies varies from time to time. I highly recommend Aldi's to supplement your weekly grocery shopping, with great prices, although there is no reason why one could do their entire week's grocery shopping here, unless one wanted a particular Brand of an item, or a fresh Baked good, as found in some of our local Supermarkets. If you are doing a lot if shopping, you need to rent (actually a refundable deposit) one of their shopping carts for 25 cents. You also have to supply your own grocery bags and/or boxes, although they have paper grocery bags for sale ($.05-$.10 ea.), & plenty of empty boxes on the shelves, as well as bag your own groceries. By bringing your own grocery bags and bagging your own groceries, ALDI is able to save a lot in costs, which they are happy to pass on to you by selling their food and other grocery items a very low prices. Since my last year's review, Word must have gotten out, as Aldi's is always busy now, but their cashiers are lightning fast & will have you checked out in no...
Read moreThis wasn't my visit a week ago. This happened this year though. I needed a box and had not learned that the boxes in produce are off limits. I was already in check out line and quickly went down this eile first. I saw the onion box was empty and heavy duty, so I walked over and before walking back to checkout, I shook the peelings in the same spot I picked it up from. When walking back I heard a voice on the other side of the eile. It was a female who chose to be a total @#$%^, and made a comment not informing me of my mistake, but instead told me how I didn't care that the boxes were to stay there and that I did not care about the mess I made either. I told her that I did not now, which by the ugly look on her face, she felt I was lying. With every rude non personal, unprofessional comment this white long haired female said to me, all I could say was, "I did not know." I walked around the same side she was on to communicate between us and not the entire store, she finally toned her voice down and said in a professional tone, "You are not suppose to get the boxes in produce for check-out. " I responded with, "THAT IS HOW YOU SHOD HAVE SAID IT THE...
