I am visiting from Wisconsin and was excited to eat at Rounders after being away for 30 years. I went to school here and Rounders was a favorite. I was very disappointed with the service. I tried to order online… not possible. I tried to phone in an order… possible but the manager on the phone was rude, impatient, and gave me a hard time when I asked about the menu. I decided to just go to the place and order thinking it would be easier for everyone. I get there and was sad to see how run down the place was. Even the lights inside need to be replaced because they are flickering. I asked for a menu and was told they don’t have one. No prices posted nor any posting of the food they offer. I asked about specials…. None of those either. I was told to look at the menu online. Okay, I asked what their website is. Was told they don’t have a website. Was told to google rounders in Athens. Found the menu. Prices are not correct. Out of frustration my family and I decided to just order the cinnamon sticks and go somewhere else for the pizza. While waiting for our order, I attempted to ask the manager for a comment card or a number I could call to voice to disappointment. I was told there wasn’t anything I could do. I asked her why no menus and why everything was so run down and the manager copped an attitude stating she wasn’t the owner and she doesn’t make the decision. She yelled and flared her arms about. I reminded her I still needed to pay. She yelled how much I owed, snatched my money and stormed off. We waited 30 minutes and only when I told them I was done waiting and wanted a refund did the cinnamon sticks magically appear. At that time my adult son came in to tell me not to take the sticks because he just witnessed workers washing and large cutting board outside on the parking lot. He watched them lay it down on the pavement and hose it off and then carry it back inside the kitchen. When he came in to tell me the workers said that’s not what they were doing. We ended up leaving without the food or being able to enjoy the experience and reminisce...
Read moreI called the store because I received my order that was delivered from door dash and the order was incorrect. When I attempted to find out what order was actually received on their end from door dash, instead of getting help and an answer-I got a very rude worker that told me they could not help me at all and that I needed to go through door dash because that is the policy. Then I was hung up on. I called back and asked again if they could tell me what order was received and again was told that I needed to contact door dash. However, this time when I asked what order they received, now there was some other worker yelling from the background to the person on the phone that I needed to contact DoorDash, and there was nothing they could do to help me. And I asked if DoorDash made the pizzas or if rounders made the pizzas and I was told that it did not matter. I let them know that I was short two pizzas and the two of the three orders I received was incorrect. They again let me know. There was nothing more they could do to help me. Then someone in the background yelled again, but I could not understand what was said then I heard laughing and then they hung up the call. I did go through DoorDash and let DoorDash know that my order was incorrect and they did refund some of the order. However, the issue was not with DoorDash, but that there was absolutely no customer service at Rounders. And even though we have ordered multiple times from this location and consistently receive incorrect orders, we still love the pizza and continue to order! Unfortunately, this night, with the incorrect order and the no-help customer service, we have a family of 10 still very hungry and needing to look for food elsewhere at 9 PM on a Saturday night! Needless to say, after this incident, we will not be using rounders...
Read moreI was nervous at first because this was my first time eating here and I am very scared to try new places as I have a severe gluten allergy. I am so glad I tried it. Rayleigh talked to me on the phone first and then took care me when I was there. She was SO SO SO kind and gentle with me. She helped me with my order, and her twin sister, Kendall, made my pizza, taking all the precautions needed!! IT WAS AMAZING!! And the price was right. My husband and I split 3 total pizzas. 1) double pepperoni, double cheese, and Italian sausage. 2) bacon double cheeseburger 3) double pepperoni, double cheese, double Italian sausage. All three were really good, obviously we liked the peperoni enough to get it twice. It was LOADED with pepperonis. This was old-school pizza. TONS of toppings and not some frilly decorative pizza. This was legit tasty and good with zero fuss!!! Just like you remember from yesteryear. I will be going again this week. Rayleigh and her twin sister could not have been nicer to me, and I am not an easy customer! THANK YOU! Yummy gluten free pizza close to me! I...
