Wow! This is my new Go-To spot! We were genuinely greeted as if we were truly welcome. It just got better from there. Appetizers were outstanding! Please try their Unicorn Wings! I know, I know, I was a little skeptical of their 'secret' recipe. But it was simply delicious!!! I will be enjoying many, many more unicorn wings going forward! We also tried their version of 'Street Corn'... not sure what street they are on, but I would make my way there! We did the four piece and we should have done the six - it was perfectly grilled and unexpectedly cheesey! YUMMY! We were all in at this point - so we tried the Ranchero wings ... think southwest style and wet. Not my thing.

We order the full size Tavern salad and I am willing to admit, it is most likely the best salad I have had this year. C'mon... the field greens were so crisp, the tomatoes were bursting with flavor and it was loaded with goat cheese with the most amazing white balsamic vinaigrette dressing! Did I mention they have a $4 small version and a full size for only $7! Best buy and coupons were not even involved,

By they way, Fire Tavern offers plenty of Gluten and Vegan selections too!

Ok so finally, we made it the meal of the experience. I was already full, but Hey! My team won! So we ordered the their featured white sauce Chicken Pizza with bacon, reunions and we added mushrooms. How many favorites can I find in one day? It was perfect.. crispy crust, excellent toppings and just as beautiful to taste as it looks. I give it a 10!

Ok so, we had to try the carrot cake and it did not disappoint! Just outstanding!

My hubby even found his new favorite beer... Scofflaw Basement Brewery, Indian Pale Ale 7.5 ABV!

Megan was our server and she was outstanding!

Ok FirePit Tavern sold me... I will be...

So, this is difficult because Firepit's food is good, and I usually don't have issues eating there or ordering from there. However, tonight I placed a $94 order through ChowNow/DoorDash and waited an hour or more for the food to arrive. That wait would be fine; but the driver brought the wrong order (more on that later). I gave it back to him and he said he would go back and bring the correct one.

OK. So I waited another hour, at which point I had no food, no communication from either the restaurant or ChowNow, and my order marked as 'delivered'. I called the restaurant, to find out my order was sitting there waiting for pickup or delivery.

The person on the phone then asked if I wanted to come pick it up. That's issue #1 - no apology, no offer to send it via other means, no offer of comping the meal or even getting a future discount, nothing. I had already paid for delivery but realizing I might not get the food unless I went there, I got in the car and drove to the restaurant.

When I got there, the host asked my name. I gave my last name, and he then asked for my first name; so I gave him that too. Then he came back and said there were three orders with my first name - could I tell him what was in the order?

At this point I realized the whole problem was the restaurant's fault - they track orders solely by the customer's first name. The original order brought to my house was for somebody with the same first name as me. The whole issue would be avoided if the restaurant used something more unique - first + last name, phone number, email, order #, whatever - to track the orders.

Bottom line - Firepit's food is good, but when ordering for delivery, you'd best give them a unique first name. Make something up if...

While visiting ATL, my son and his friend decided to try this place for dinner. At 6:15 PM I placed an online order for two pizzas, the pork belly toast, and the roasted brussel sprouts. Since it was a Friday night, I picked a 7:30 PM pick-up time. We arrived at 7:30 and the order was not ready. At 7:45, it was not ready. The staff apologized and offered a gift card for a future visit. I told her we were not local. At 7:55 I requested that the order be cancelled. The owner said the pizza's were coming right out and offered a gift card for a future visit. I told her we were not local and asked if they would discount the current order. She said she could not because I had ordered online. At 8:00 I requested that the order be cancelled and she said that the order would be right. She said they were busy because they feed many people from the neighborhood. I told her I placed the order an hour before I was going to pick it up. She responded by saying there was a hiccup in the kitchen. I told her to manage her kitchen. None of this was my problem. We finally received the order, and drove the 10 minutes back to the hotel...the boys were hungry. The food was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Both pizzas were thrown together. When you picked up a slice, the toppings slid off. The pork belly toast and the roasted brussel sprouts were ready when we got there at 7:30. Therefore, the toast was a soggy mess and the brussel sprouts were cold. Food was not worth what I paid for it. Even if I lived in ATL I would never go back.

2nd review: Wanted some real pizza and decided to come back bc they have some really good pizza! Got the Portobello pizza and a Veggie pizza with white sauce sub broccoli for caramelized onions. We also each ordered a watermelon margarita which came garnished with an actual watermelon slice. The watermelon margarita was flavorful but wasn't the best. My bf made a comment about how strong his drink so I tasted his and realized that his tasted much better than mine. I mentioned it to the waitress and she was kind enough to have it remade, and the remake was so much better. The pizzas were delicious! The crust is perfectly crispy and tastes like they season the dough. The cheese was stretchy and everything was overall great. Def recommend giving them a try. They have a nice patio too that I suggest sitting on when the weather is nice. 1st review: Visited on a Thursday for dinner. I wanted to sit outside but it rained earlier that day so it was still wet. We opted for a booth and our server greeted us. We ordered waters while we looked over the menu. They had a pizza of the day which was spinach and mushrooms with a white sauce and I decided to order that. My bf ordered the Portabello pizza. I can't remember the name of the drink, but it was similar to a mule and he ordered something else lol. It wasn't until the pizzas arrived that we realized we had pretty much ordered the same pizza lol. There were differences but they were minor. The pizza and drinks were both delicious. Definitely recommend giving them a try.

This has quickly become one of my favorite local spots. The staff is always friendly, and the food is great. The pizza is fresh and made to order, with creative and delicious topping options. They also have other great bites like the Brussels sprouts, unicorn wings, street corn, and pork belly toast. Tonight I had a cup of the chili, which I forgot to photograph. It won second place in the Chomp and Stomp chili cook-off in Cabbagetown. I did not like the texture at first, but the more I ate, the more I liked it. I like my chili chunky, but this had a smoother texture. Otherwise, it was spicy and flavorful. I also ordered the red sangria. I like both the red and the white, but the white tends to be a bit sweeter. The cocktails are decent. They are inventive, but not as high in quality as some "craft cocktail" bars provide. However, they are definitely a step-up from most local bars and restaurants. They also have a nice selection of wine and domestic, as well as local beer. The pizza I ordered tonight was one of my own creation. It is sort of my own spin of their Honey pizza. I selected red sauce, honey ricotta cheese, prosciutto, caramelized onions, and spinach. This pizza is so delicious. I am not a huge pizza fan in general, but I actually crave this. I have now been to Firepit several times, and have only had one or two experiences where I felt like I was waiting for longer than I should have been. Otherwise, they are always very attentive.
