Dined there for the very first time today, had brunch with an old friend. My friend had her dog so we sat outside, I went inside and ordered. Ordering was very simple as the menu was written out in easy to see and read letters on the wall above the service counter. I ordered the Açai bowl for my friend and had the Poke bowl for myself. Service seemed fairly quick for a not so fast fast food place. The presentation was awesome. You could have and most probably have taken pictures of these bowls. My friend has eaten here before and lives her Açai bowl. I could have eaten two of the Poke bowls. Yes there was plenty to eat but it was just that good. I want to mention Michael who came to our table to check on us and ask us about our overall experience. This young was was extremely nice, and well spoken. It was obvious he took pride in his work. I explained how I would never eat a radish and haven’t since I was forced as a kid, however I tried one small piece and thought “well this is a Pleasant surprise“. I started eating more and eventually ate them all. Michael told us how he cuts, soaks and prepares his radishes every day when he comes to work. Please let this young man know how much he and his hard work are...
Read moreSo when the Grant Park market opened we were excited and then came Kale Me Crazy. I'd never visited any of the other location and figured since it was up the street I'd give it a go. What I order was: Quinoa, carrots, cucumber, feta, avocado, green peppers, NO tomatoes, scallion, mint, cilantro, serrano pepper, garbanzo beans, (with lemon vinaigrette or peanut dressing).
What I got was quinoa, refrigerated smelling carrots (old) cucumbers, speckles of feta, bigger than my finger green peppers, NO scallions (which are my favorite), NO mint (at least none I can see or taste), NO cilantro, NO serrano peppers (which I love), about 10 garbanzo beans, and lemon dressing after I specified peanut, oh and it had kale in it (didn't want that) Then after I realized the dressing was wrong the attendant took it to the back and I believe he just ADDED the peanut dressing. I'm too tired to go back... so I write Employees were just ok... Needless to say I didn't eat it and I'm order food and spending money to eat (healthy) Look how big the peppers are up...
Read moreThis use to be my to go place. I am giving 2 stars only because the drinks are good, although even now I am questioning if the person making the once good charcoal lemonade knows how to. As a regular I have to call it: for the last several months the hummus has been watery and don’t complain because you’ll be told to go to Inman Park. Well Inman park isn’t close to me! Instead of fixing the issue and properly making the hummus this is the fix to reroute a customer? Then the hair found in my Turkey Wrap (btw- the quality of the Turkey has changed to a cheap salty supermarket version - there was a time it was organic of course that’s years ago). If your employees don’t know how to make thé found properly eventually you will lose business. The hummus today was made by Virginia who claimed Maria doesn’t know how to make it. I was polite and smiled but I don’t need to know who doesn’t know how to make it, just make hummus right which means it’s to texture. It’s now trash after seeing the hair and the soupy hummus. I stayed as long as I...
