Gather has a fresh and inviting look and welcoming atmosphere.
The menu features an array of delicious sandwiches, with a focus on classic deli-style offerings. I opted for their highly recommended muffuletta, which was served on a fresh bread and stuffed with layers of salami, ham, and provolone cheese, all topped off with a tangy olive tapenade. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. I also tried their pulled pork Cuban sandwich, which was packed with tender and juicy pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard on a toasted roll. It was delicious.
Overall, The Market Deli is a hidden gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious sandwich. The muffuletta and pulled pork Cuban sandwiches were both outstanding, and the service was top-notch. It's a great place to grab a quick lunch or pick up something to take home. I cannot wait to come back and try more of...
Read moreWait time was longer than any normal working person has time for. I ordered a simple chicken salad sandwich, was told it would be a 20 min wait....which turned into something far longer as i watched people who ordered after me get their orders before mine. Once i realized they hadn’t even made my sandwich yet at this point probably about 30 mins in, i should have just asked for my money back and gone to any of the dozen other places to eat that surrounded them. Instead I watched them about 5 mins later throw my sandwich together in about 3 mins or less and call my name. They couldn’t have done that 20 mins ago?? Oh and i didnt mention there was sweating and wiping of a forehead involved with the back of a gloved hand.....omg. I guess its better than the palm of a hand. I should never have gone there to begin with. What a disappointment. Theres more but i’ll stop now and just never go back...
Read moreGoogle calls this place Gather which was confusing as the sign on the outside says Grant Park Market. Took us 6 laps around the spot before we figured that out. Was on the cusp of 4 vs 5 stars. It was good food but not quite at the 5 star mark. Also, it was our first time coming in there, we were greeted (someone said hi) but didn’t know what to do.. do we sit ourselves? The chicken sandwich was yummy but overall messy and kind of hard to consume. Bun got soaked in the honey/hot sauce. Not faulting them for that but just noting. Fries were great! A great little cafe to go...
