The Women’s League of the Atlanta Black Chambers’ hosted our afternoon tea event at the Herndon Home. We could not think of a better venue to discuss black wealth than the home of Alonzo Herndon, Atlanta’s first black millionaire. We were so excited that the Herndon Home opened their doors for us to have a memorable experience. The staff exuded excellence in their working with us in planning and in the execution of the event. Members also got to partake in a tour of the home before the event. The feedback was extremely positive on the wealth of information provided by the docent.
