I absolutely love the renovations that were made to the field but I do not love how senior citizens and disabled patrons were treated after the game by security. During my visit to the stadium I witnessed senior citizens and disabled persons pleading with security to let them exit from the lower level from which they entered the game because they were unable to go up all of the steps and around the stadium to get back to their vehicles that were parked right in front of them on the other side of the fence. A lot of these patrons had canes and were obviously disabled and could not physically and safely do what was asked of them. I witnessed several senior citizens just give up on their pleas to security and go up the stairs but had to take several breaks on their way up the stairs and looked completely exhausted and out of breath once they reached the top of the stadium. I spoke with several security guards and expressed my concern for the health and safety of the senior citizens that they were making walk up the stairs and around the stadium to get to their vehicles and was told that there was nothing that they could do and that it was Clark Atlanta’s policy for everyone regardless of age or disability to exit from the top of the stadium. I implore Clark Atlanta to make a change to their policy of requiring all fans to leave the stadium by going up the stairs and around the stadium to exit. An exception has to be made for senior citizens and disabled persons that are not physically able. This has to be a clear violation of ADA and I would hate for something awful to happen to someone before...
