This is my spot. Been eating here every weekend for about 12 years. Love that it’s a chill spot that still holds old Reynoldstown charm and hasn’t had a full fancy make over. Food is good and people are great, take a moment and say hi to them šŸ˜‰. Butler fries an egg just perfect… just enough that the yolk isn’t solid and dry but also isn’t running all over the place. Stop in every Friday after dinner just for my weekly cookie… year after year I have seen some faces come and go, but it always feels kinda like my Cheers where I can walk in and they just know my order. Yeah the dog park is gone, get over it … humans ruined that for everyone. Leave your blazers, and loafers at home hold the charm and vibe… these newbies in town classing up the crowd make me uncomfortable šŸ˜› Come in, be a decent human and relax… don’t ruin the vibe for everyone else.

Been waiting 33 minutes for my food and counting. Was told ā€œjust a few more minutesā€ when I asked for an update. This has happened twice now. Will not be returning. Update: We got our food all of it except a sausage patty was lukewarm. Only 4 other tables at the restaurant were occupied. Edit/Response: (1) We were not told by the barista that it would take about a half hour. We would have left if so. Maybe there was a miscommunication. (2) I worked in food service and know that the time on the ticket is not always the time the food was served to the customer. If management found the right ticket, it may explain why most of the food tasted like it had been sitting out a while when we got it. As I mentioned earlier, we will not be returning. I hope future customers don’t have the same experience we did.

I was not expecting so much open space when I came here. In lieu of a parking lot (you have to street park), they have a big outdoor patio and yard in addition to some indoor seating. Definitely go here when it's not raining so you can enjoy the outside. They also have a lot of booze and decent amount of food options, along with board games and books. The only coffee on drip they had was their house blend. It wasn't anything special: had a hint of sweetness and chocolatey notes, pretty standard. I'm glad they served it at drinking temperature though so I did not have to waste time cooling it down. Super recommend this place for the vibes!

(This is my 100th yelp review, by the way!) I was so glad to find Parkgrounds! I've been twice with my dog, and I plan to keep coming back. It's a great option for a dog park, because dog park + coffee = awesome. I've come only on Mondays during the day, and there's always been enough parking on the street.

On the dog park side of things: I noticed that there are a few regulars who come to the park with their dogs, but I did not notice any pack mentality between the dogs. Everyone kept a good eye on their dogs and would intervene if needed. Everyone was very understanding and helpful with the other dogs and notified one another of any problems or concerns. One lady noticed a scratch on a dog that wasn't hers and found the dog's owner to tell him. I've seen 3-12 dogs there at a time.

There are benches and tables and chairs out in the dog park, too, which is nice for the owners. There are trash cans and poop bags for everyone to use, and there's a spigot and two large bowls for water for the dogs. I've refilled them myself before, because with all the dogs around, the water can get dirty.

The ground in the dog park is a lot of dirt, and now that it's fall, there are a lot of leaves. Be aware that your dog will likely get dirty, so being a clean up towel or something for your dog to sit on on the way home if you need to. My dog has short hair, and I haven't had a problem, but I've seen vey hairy and fluffy dogs get covered in leaves and some mud.

The coffee shop side of things: There's an outdoor porch separated from the dog park by wooden gates where you can be out in the elements but still away from the dogs. Inside the coffee shop building itself, it's all pretty standard as far as a coffee shop goes. I've had friendly interactions with 3/4 of the staff I've been in touch with. I'm no coffee connoisseur, and I've enjoyed the cafe au lates I've had and the challah French toast. There are tables, a bar, and chairs to sit at. There are books to read.

There is booze to drink. I think the booze and the dog park help Parkgrounds stand out among the other coffee shops around town. Being a dog owner, I come for the dog park, and I'd recommend anyone else to do the same.

I noticed one reviewer mention the dog poop at the park being so close to your food. Dog people probably won't mind, honestly; that's how my own apartment is every once in a while. If the animals offend you, stay inside the building. In Korean dog cafes, the dogs and humans and cafe are all in one room together which I really enjoyed, so I definitely have no qualms with dogs nearby, and I doubt most dog people...

I am obsessed with ParkGrounds. No, seriously.

My husband and I adopted a German Shepherd mix a little over a month ago. Since then, we've brought her to ParkGrounds almost every day. She knows when we're getting close and whines in excitement. Girlfriend loves her some dog park.

I love the size of ParkGrounds. Big enough for lots of dogs to run around but not so big that you lose your dog. It's nice that it's dirt, too. One teeny tiny suggestion - maybe getting a shovel to scoop dog poop instead of the rake. Trying to rake dog poop up is totally gross - but doable!

For the most part, the dog owners are responsible (there are boogers occasionally, but for the most part, the dog owners are great). We haven't been able to break our dog of her urge to jump on everyone, but 99% of the people there have not only been cool with it (they agree that it's a dog park, and that is expected to happen) but have offered us some really great advice on how to control the jumping.

The staff is THE JAM. Seriously. Nicest bunch of folks anywhere. They're always friendly - always. The coffee? Yum. I'm addicted. The food? SO tasty. (I recommend the BLT. Have mercy, it is delicious.) We are on a tight budget and lots of times, I just get a small coffee. There's never any judgement - just a friendly smile and a delicious cup of coffee.

In conclusion... ParkGrounds is where it's at. We will continue to be there every day we can. Thanks to the owner and the staff for making it a great...

Today was probably my 10th time coming to Park Grounds. Since the beginning the workers, specifically the blonde girl working the counter, have been very rude and snooty towards me and my friends. Every time I come here I buy coffee, mimosas, Cuban sandwich, yogurt, and all types of food. I’m a loyal customer and despite their lack of good customer service and appreciation for regulars I continue to come because my dog needs to stay active and socialize. Today when I went with my friend another loyal customer and dog mom we were told, by the blonde girl of course, we had to stop eating our lunch that we brought because that’s against the rules. Almost every time I have been here there is always multiple people eating their lunch and have Tupperware. One time there was a group of girls having a whole picnic pretty much! We never feel comfortable here and I hate to say but I definitely believe there is also a race issue. My friend is one of the few black customers that we know and see here and there always seems to be some type of issue or discrepancy. I’m tired of being treated poorly because of people’s personal beliefs and lack of work ethic. It’s not my problem you do not want to work hard! If I continue to give you business I better see a change in attitude. How can you see someone weekly and sometimes days in a row and continue to treat them as if they are less than you? Sickening. I will...
