I’m convinced they have to be paying for reviews! If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered the turkey rib plate and fried chicken box from, and everything about the experience was awful. The woman who answered the phone was rude and unprofessional,she didn’t even say hello, just barked that they weren’t taking orders. I should’ve taken that as a warning. The food was even worse. The turkey ribs were burnt and tasted like nothing but smoke. The fried chicken was dry and overly salty with zero flavor. The mac & cheese was a gray-yellow mess bland. On top of that, they gave me the wrong side: potato salad with bacon instead of baked beans, l do not eat pork.

When I called to address the issue, I was cut off and told to contact Uber Eats. No apology. No accountability. super ghetto and dismissive. I called back 3 times snd thdy would pick up thd phone! From the food to the service, everything was subpar. Never again.

The food was disappointing, but the customer service was worse! I had to make a separate review just for the customer service alone because it was laughable.

I called to ask about a BOGO promo on Uber Eats and whether I could change the side on the free item. The woman said no—which was fine—but then made an unnecessary comment about it being a way to get customers to spend more money by having to order an additional side item. Completely uncalled for.

They still got my order wrong and gave me a side with pork. When I called to explain, I was told to “just contact Uber Eats.” I tried, but the refund process was frustrating, so I called the restaurant again—three times—and got no answer.

I try to support local, especially Black-owned businesses, but if you’re charging $60 for three plates (mind you one of them was free!), both the food and service need to reflect that. Listening and accountability...

I was excited to try this restaurant after seeing their post on social media and wanted to show my support. Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The menu offered a wide variety of options, including pork chops, chicken, seafood, and an assortment of vegetables.

I decided to order the fried chicken dinner with a side, which came to $34. While the price felt a bit steep, I’m always willing to pay more for good food. I also noticed there was a service charge added, and the total cost varied depending on the payment method, which I hadn’t expected.

The food arrived fairly quickly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the quality didn’t meet my expectations. The mac and cheese wasn’t the traditional style I’m used to, and the yams were extremely dark and oddly chewy. On a positive note, the chicken batter was well-seasoned, and the greens were..decent. I tried to eat what I could since the meal was expensive, but after just two bites of the yams, I knew I couldn’t continue.

After debating whether to call I called the restaurant afterward to share my feedback, hoping for some kind of understanding or resolution. However, the person I spoke with didn’t seem very open to hearing my concerns. She mentioned a sign in the restaurant (which I didn’t see) stating “that their food may not match everyone’s flavor profile.” She ended the conversation by essentially saying it was my fault for not liking the food and for that reason nothing could be done.

Overall, I was truly disappointed by both the meal and the response I received. I wanted to support a business I was excited about, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to...
