I’ve tried a few times now to give this bar’s pop-up experiences another chance, but they just can’t seem to execute well for larger groups. If you’re going as a couple or small group, you might have a smoother experience — but with six or more, it’s always chaos.

Our server was friendly and ended up comping our shots, but the night was a comedy of errors. Our reservation was for 10:30 PM Friday night, and even though we ran about 20 minutes late (after trying unsuccessfully to call multiple times and message through OpenTable), we were seated around 10:50–10:55 PM. From that point until we left around 12:45–1:00 AM, each step took far too long.

After being seated, it took about 10–15 minutes before our server came over with waters. Another 10–15 minutes passed before they returned to take drink orders — and that was only for half our group, since the rest were still arriving. The first round of drinks didn’t arrive for nearly 20 minutes, and by the time the other half of our group got their drinks, the first half was nearly already finished. Not to mention when the second half of our drinks arrived, the server had completely forgotten to put one of them in, stating “you ordered a shot!” Which… we all did, and we all also ordered a cocktail. The amount of time drinks were taking to come out made that omission very frustrating.

We also tried to order one of the featured holiday shots, but were told they’d been out since earlier in the day (and possibly the day before). For a themed pop-up that’s been running for years, that felt like poor planning. Our server offered to have the bartender make something similar, but that also took about 10–15 minutes to come out — and unfortunately, the replacement shot was awful.

To her credit, our server apologized later in the evening and comped the shots, acknowledging that things had been dragging. A manager/team lead also stopped by to check in/apologize, which I appreciated. But by the time we paid our tab, the experience had taken over two hours — for one drink and one shot each.

The holiday décor is always impressive, and the staff (other than the hostess) were kind and warm, but between the slow service, expensive drinks, and automatic gratuity, it just doesn’t feel worth it anymore. This was for my birthday and it really put a damper on the second half of our night, because everyone was ready to go home at almost 1 am instead of going to the next bar, understandably, since we had been there about an hour longer than planned. And I think they themselves even put a 90 minute time limit on the experience!

I wanted to love this tradition, but after multiple disappointing visits, I think I’m done coming back for the...

This is long so bear with me.

So my bf and I were out celebrating my birthday the other day and was having a wonderful time up until my day got interrupted as we were about to leave this beautifully decored establishment. My birthday was the second time I had visited this place and my bf had never been, so I wanted him to experience the place as my first time going with my friends was awesome.

The waiter told us as we sat down they not have any food to serve us but had food at the other restaurant next door. We were ok with this as we didn't need food as we had just come from dinner. So, everything was all good up until we left. We bought our drinks, paid our tab, and left.

As we almost made it to the car a guy came running out behind us trying to get our attention. So we thought there might have been something wrong with the bill. Well he begins by yelling across the parking lot to us saying, "is everything ok?" We're like yeah what's wrong and he's like, "there's nothing here". We were like hunh? Come to find out he was referring to a tip. Here is a tip: Never go running behind a couple leaving asking for a tip.

We paid our tab and if we had extra we would have given it. We only bought 2 shots and 1 drink. We mostly didn't need any serious service. We just wanted to hang out and enjoy our time in there and move on. Not to be haggled by a guy running out behind us over a tip. I am shocked at this and have NEVER experienced this from any establishment.

The only reason it's even 2 stars is from the service I got from the young lady whom was there a few months back when I went the first time and she was awesome and received a good tip from me and my friends. Not so sure about this place now. I thought it was a good little, cute hang out spot. I was literally sitting there in the place telling my bf how wonderful the place was with all the themes and how we should visit every time a season changes. All in all it was very embarrassing for that waiter to do that or whoever that person was as there was other people entering as he bussed past them at the door to yell for us. Now I feel like I'll be haggled for money. Probably won't be...

I don't know how to give half stars, but if I did this would be 2.5 stars So the atmosphere was super cute. The hostess was super cute and sweet too. She sat us in a cute spot to wait for our table since we were 30 minutes early for our reservation and our third party wasn't there yet. However we sat in those seats for at least 25 minutes and no one came over to offer us a drink until about 15 minutes in, and since we weren't officially seated the server wouldn't let us order drinks. That should have been the telling sign to get out of there. The hostess then sat us in a super cute area where we proceeded to wait another 20 minutes, until WE flagged down a server, who was rude to us, asked us if we had a reservation, we said yes, and then took our drink order and when asked about food was like we only have a charcuterie and a chocolate. Ummm....okay....no menu, no problem, but the interchange was not pleasant. We ordered the charcuterie board. We got our drinks, they were small, but cute, and very delicious. The bar tender did a good job, he also gave me no problem when I asked for napkins because we were served our charcuterie board with no plates, utensils, or napkins. I had to spit my olive pit in the bathroom because I refused to put it on the table like my friend. A napkin was better. Our other friend then arrived and we waited another 25 minutes, our drinks well finished, and no service. They were definitely short staffed with two servers and two white men behind the bar helping out here and there, but like there was no press for let's please our customers or the more they drink the more money I make. So, I wound up having to walk up to the server station and asking for the check. The bill was $72! Two drinks and one charcuterie board that was meh.... Never again! This place could have been super cute and a go to place for ladies night, but nope, nada. If you go, go for the atmosphere, but my suggestion would be to sit at the bar if you...

I ordered the Ginger watermelon Margarita which had a sour taste to it.. So I had the waitress take it back to bring me a playa breakfast margarita. That drink also but was not good and they both were small drinks for $15 which was not worth it. Those drinks should not be no more then $7. Also, after sitting for 10 minutes at the table waiting on my party to arrive, the waitress offered me a drink and never offered any food while I waited. 25 minutes or so we were ready to order food only for the waitress to tell us the kitchen was closed and the menu was very small not many food items to choose from. I feel as though the waitress purposely did that just to make tip money from the drink which my drink was $15 but my card was charged $22 and some change. It was definitely a waste of gas and money to come here. However, the Ambiance was very nice. I love the inside decor hanging from the ceiling and I also like the monkeys hanging over the bar.
