Overall atmosphere and vibe was very cool! But a few flaws here. When my Wife and I walked up, all you could smell is weed and by the time you walked in, you smelled both food & weed. Not a great first start for newbies. The cashier that took our order was very sweet and polite. We placed out order, my Wife order extra cheese on her 11 inch philly with banana peppers. I order my 11 inch philly as is, with just the pickles. We get our order, and my Wife's sandwich had double meat which she didn't ask for, and mines had the extra cheese, which I didn't ask for. Now us knowing this as the customers, I went back to the counter to ask to make sure that the extra cheese was on the right sandwich. I was then told yes it was, but we knew it was incorrect. We're not the kind that make a big fuss over anything, so I just went back to sit & eat the sandwich. I was also told the extra cheese on my Wife''s sandwich was on the bottom, and she double checked it, and it was not on there. The fries was okay, but they weren't all that great. The meat 🥩 itself tasted more like a minced salami rather than actual beef from a philly cheesesteak. From our understanding, the owner is going for the Philly Cheesesteaks feeling, but this was not the case upon our first time visiting last night. A lot of people hype this eatery up, but honestly speaking, it is very over hyped. Also, presentation is the key. We understand that it's a more chilled, laid back feel which is great, but between the smelling of loud weed and some of your employees looking kind of thrown away, it's not a good look, especially if you're wanting to attract more customers. Definitely nowhere near on the 10 star level yet, but it definitely has the great potential to be! Good customer service you all do have. Don't aim for great reviews all of the time, but more so aim for awesome quality from within, and the great reviews will come pouring in! Also, add bell peppers & roasted red peppers to the menu, which in Philly, this is a definite for a cheese steak 🥩 sandwich feel! Based on our experience, if we had a choice between eating at Burger King and Uncle Phil's, we'd choose Burger King right now. Let's get on that y'all, and this way, we can change our minds about the...
Read moreBeing from Philly myself & often facing disappointment when trying a cheesesteak here in Atlanta I wanted to enjoy Uncle Phill’s so bad. But I was completely underwhelmed to say the least. The wait was significant but I was ok with that because when something is being “made to order” that can be expected. So I ordered 3 combos…Two 6” beef, one 8” chicken. I’ll start with the fries. My daughter’s fries were pretty fresh while mine seemed to be a mix of new & old fries (very different temperatures). My wife’s fries seemed to be from the old batch. As for the steaks…my lettuce & tomato that I ordered were missing but since I had decided to eat in that was an easy fix. But what I could fix was the fact that there was no meat. Had I not pulled the sandwich open to check for my lettuce & tomato I would not have been able to see the meat at all. Same with my daughter’s sandwich. She was originally concerned she wouldn’t be able to bite easily due to recent oral surgery but it was no problem at all because the sandwich was very thin. My wife did have significantly more meat on her chicken Philly & also had more of a cheesy texture which the thin beef sandwiches lacked. Not sure how we didn’t get warm, cheesy sandwiches when eating in because they shouldn’t have even had time to cool. Our drinks were served with no ice nor did anyone ask if that was an interest. And the “wooder ice” sizes should be displayed because the small was beyond kiddie cup, it was a mini cup. I came in with all plans on doing a social media review but my heart wouldn’t allow me to post my experience so I just deleted the content. There was a customer saying to the gentleman making the steaks “This time make mine look like the pictures” while we were ordering. And upon receiving my order I understood why he made that claim. I left hungry & wanting to stop by the “other guy” feeling like what my MomMom use to say…you get what u pay for 😢I shared with a friend my picture & experience & she said it looked vastly different from the 3 visits she had. Guess my shot at a cheat meal with the fan wasn’t a...
Read moreUncle Phill's Cheesesteaks offers an exceptional dining experience for cheesesteak lovers. The star of the show is undoubtedly the sandwich itself, featuring a perfectly soft and chewy bread that cradles the fillings beautifully. The bread's texture strikes a perfect balance, providing a satisfying bite without overpowering the star ingredient—the meat.
Speaking of the meat, it's seasoned to perfection. Every bite is flavorful, with a harmonious blend of spices that enhances the rich, beefy taste. The generous portions ensure a hearty meal, and the meat's tenderness makes it easy to enjoy without any toughness.
The added extra provolone cheese is a delightful touch. Melted to gooey perfection, the cheese adds a creamy richness that complements the seasoned meat. It brings everything together, making each mouthful a symphony of flavors and textures.
Overall, Uncle Phill's Cheesesteaks delivers a top-notch cheesesteak experience, with attention to detail in every aspect of the sandwich. It's a must-visit for anyone craving a classic, well-executed cheesesteak.
