Food Rating: Grade Pending: (F) 1. None of the items have allergen information listed. 2. ServeSafe Managers & Allergen Credentials are not readily in view of customers. 3. Several employees were consuming food on the line and a male in the rear did not change gloves before serving a drive thru customer. 4. There was open boxes and visible garbage in the food prep areas that was not properly disposed. 5. There were several food service items (the boats) that were turned up when food was not in preparation to be placed in them. Ambiance: The outside of the facility was clean in accordance with the community standards (it’s in a developing area). The Food and Service: The people were nice and accommodating which was the best part of the experience. I ordered the footlong hotdog special with the onion rings as a side. The beverage was water. The hotdog was tough as rubber. The Bread was stale. The chili was not worthy of taste or quality and would definitely not pass as consumable to canned dog food companies. The slaw was a shame and embarrassment to the organization. The onion rings, appears to be store breaded, were simply greasy and burnt. The Banana Split was a sliced banana with a thin layer of soft serve ice cream, drizzle of chocolate sauce, raw- syrup tossed walnuts (very hard), canned pineapple, canned strawberries, topped with a mountain of highly processed whipped cream, and 3 cherries that were so acidic that the sauce caused the cream to break. (Spoiled cherries kill people—just and FYI). Tasting it was a disaster. Even after scaling back all of that cream it was just a mess pool of milk water and chocolate sauce. Sugar is hydroscopic which draws out liquids from food in this case the bananas and fruit that created a mess. The entire ice cream melted from a short walk from the counter to the table. In my view after 70+ years the quality has definitely decreased from what I ate in this facility as a small kid. This is very disappointing and if the business is to survive then the management really should consider hiring a real executive chef (not manager) and the owners should scale competition. I say this as a fair warning because I’m relocating from NYC to ATL and I will determine if I should contact you to purchase this company and restore it and make it better—or if it’s cheaper—to just open up shop close to your locations and put you out of business. You should be truly ashamed to serve this food in the Black Communities to hard working people who have supported your business for decades and the younger (or new owners) have resorted to feeding them food not fit as animal feed.

Old fashioned sloppy burgers and foot long hot dogs smothered in chilli and slaw are just a few of the greasy classic foods you'll find at this historic Atlanta fast food restaurant. Southern comforts like crispy fried chicken and golden fish and french fries are intermingled with fun foods like Hot Wings and Gyros. And let us not forget the tasty softserve ice cream cones and hand spun milkshakes, My favorite is the Nut Brown Crown which is a chocolate dipped vanilla ice cream cone rolled in peanuts. This visit we had the Jimmy's Combo which is served with 4 hot wings, 2 Chicken fingers and 2 pieces of fish as well as slaw, celery sticks a roll and dipping sauces. At $9.25 it's a great combo to share for budget conscious daters. :-) The only downside is the age of the establishment which leads to the look of unkemptness and dirt. The seating is not plus size friendly as they are older style pressed wood booths and the restrooms doorway are also quite the squeeze. However, if you can overlook these minor things, you're in for a treat of a throwback meal accompanied by old school music, boiling grease smells and smiling hair net wearing staff! 4 stars from me!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I just visited Zesto, a place I have fond memories of from my childhood, but my experience left me extremely disappointed. I decided to give it a try after many years, hoping to relive some of those memories, but I regret every bit of it! First, the service was as dreadful as the food itself. While I don't expect Chick-fil-A level of politeness, a simple acknowledgment when a customer says "thank you" or greets you would be the bare minimum. The cashier seemed indifferent and lacked even the most basic customer service skills. Now, the food! It was a complete disaster. I ordered a patty melt, and the toast on one side was burnt to a crisp, so bad that I had to throw the whole thing away. The french fries tasted as if they were cooked three years ago and reheated. Additionally, the hotdog was far from what I'd expect in terms of quality, it certainly didn't taste like 100% beef as the website states! I spent $20 on this meal, and it was an absolute waste. Zesto used to be a place I loved, but after this experience, I'm sure I'll never go back.

It has become my sad Duty to inform anyone reading this that the East Atlanta location of Zestos has gone bad. I just spent $38 there for three baskets with a side of coleslaw and a side of fries.

I ordered a chubby decker basket, a steak basket, and a footlong with chili and onions. I just drove 30 miles round trip for the worst Zesto's experience I've ever had. As far as I'm concerned East Atlanta Zesto's is now closed.

My chubby decker was just two patties of meat with condiments and lettuce and onions match together because there was no way to keep the structure of the chubby decker without the center slice of bun. It is without a doubt the worst chubby decker I've had in 60 years!

Fortunately they were unable to ruin the fries. And the coleslaw comes in these small containers that are half the size of the original Zesto coleslaw cup.

I fear my other baskets will be just as disappointing.

When I go to Zesto's I go there for the unique taste and texture of their burgers and hot dogs. Life is short and I will never return to that location again. I guess it's true, all good things must come to an end. Even during the pandemic I got better quality food from that location when they couldn't even take a credit card or debit card then I did today.

And to add insult to injury I almost had an accident on my way home on Interstate I-20 because of a inattentive driver. No I will never return to that location again. I might go back and try Forest Park but that would make my trip 40 miles.

If my name looks familiar it's because I send a lot of comments praising Zestos for bygone days on Instagram. I removed my photograph so that I will not be targeted should I ever go to Forest Park.

So today, something near and dear to me has died. My favorite all time hamburger restaurant is no more. I'm going to do a little speculation here and say that the only way that the management of Zestos can divest themselves of this location would be to try to turn it into a convenience store or gas station but I don't know if they have enough land for either. Boy do I Miss the Moreland Avenue at Euclid location, the Piedmont Road location, Clairmont Road, and Peachtree Street.

The chubby decker I had today was so awful that I would prefer a double Krystal to it!

I'm 65 years old now and I'll have to try and find some other place that will get the taste of this chubby decker out of my mouth. Not even the varsity with his onion rings and hot dogs and they're fabulous chili could erase the bitter aftertaste that I have after eating this chubby decker. Zesto's...

Made my order. Made my way to window. The guy asked me for my order again. I gave it again. He gave me a different total. I assumed he didn't hear me correctly at speaker and rung it up wrong at first, because I repeated it at speaker twice. They bring me my rocky road artic chill and it has pecans instead of almonds. I asked them do they make it different now and the manager said no it is supposed to have almonds. Then the guy comes with my ice cream that I ordered with sprinkles and in a waffle cone. I reminded him of my order and he said no you didn't say waffle. I said yes I did like 3 times. He then said you have to pay for cone . I said ok manager said no to correct it. He then came and asked about artic. chill. I said I would like the rocky road. He takes the chill back and throws it away. And starts making another one. He then sees me watching and comes and slams window. I then honked horn and waved but nothing. He comes back to window and I ask for my money back. He was like noooo you have to give me sprinkle cone back. I said nooo I will pay for cone but I want my money back for chill and shake because of the simple fact that you are mad and won't let me watch you make it. Manager comes and returns money and says she will speak to him....
