Me and my bestie went to AC to celebrate her 60th birthday beginning on 02-29-24. We were at the casino for a while and decided to go back to our suite. We decided to go to the Chicken Guy spot because of the owner and it had a decent menu. We decided on the BLAT sandwich (picture attached of menu). With fries and a side of mac n cheese.
First, the wait for 2 sandwiches 🥪 was ridiculous almost 15 to 20 minutes. Mind you people who came after us got their meals before us, how that happened as everyone is given a number, I'll never understand. As they're giving out people's food, people are coming back because items are missing. We finally get our food and we noticed the side of ranch sauce we requested was not in the bag. The attitude the counter gentleman gave us was not appreciated, but he gave us the sauce and we left. We get to our room and realize the chicken tender is dry, bland, and somewhat hard. We go to put our ranch sauce on it, that he gave us and its garlic parmasean sauce. Thank goodness we had mayo packets in the room or we would be eating a very dry sandwich. Additionally, I went to eat my side of Mac n cheese, it was totally inedible. It had a terrible taste and boarded on being spoiled. Needless to say I was done.
The place was closed to return the Mac n cheese that night but in the morning I bought the item back and the manager on duty was nice enough to credit me back for my entire order.
Although he did the right thing, I can say I will never eat at that place again. If you're really hungry there's a sandwich spot close to the casino that makes great sandwiches and paninis.
Sorry Guy, thanks but...
Read moreTotally totally totally not worth the money. I went here looking for a great flavor in the spicy arena and was disappointed. I also bought a few of the sauces the sauces we're okay by itself. I'll probably put it on my own chicken once I get back. So I ordered the chipotle chicken with the special sauce and what a big disappointment. Let's talk about the two pieces of chicken tenders they give. it was fried hard I don't know if this is the way it was supposed to be fried but it was fried hard. However it was juicy inside. The meat was nice and white a little yellow I gather from the batter. The chipotle sauce with the beans and the corn was present. It pretty much just gave the Chipotle flavor a more kick but totally was not what I was expecting. The chicken tasted like Grease fried or overcooked Grease but it just tastes of grease. The bread was nice and soft and I can truly say it was not worth the $15. It's a shame that a company can capitalize off of a sauce made by a great chef and he puts his trademark on this product and it is a disappointment. Guy Fieri sauces are pretty well known heck I even use his sauce on my turkey wings when I bake them and they are amazing. However for this chipotle chicken sandwich totally not worth it save your money people save your money just buy the sauces bring it home and add it to your own chicken you'll be better off. I will not be visiting this restaurant again. But as I always say these are my taste buds and they can only answer to what I've tasted. But don't be mad if you try it and become disappointed because if you do I...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a flavor explosion and a side of tongue-burning adventure, look no further than Chicken Guy in Atlantic City! As a first-timer, I decided to channel my inner Guy Fieri—complete with the fiery tastebuds and the risk of scorched skin!
I kicked things off with the hot chicken tenders, but let me tell you, spicy doesn’t even begin to cover it! The flavor was fantastic, but that fiery powder seemed to have a mind of its own, leaving a grainy sensation between my teeth. It was a bit like chewing on beach sand—yikes! But hey, for the flavor, I’d say it was all worth it.
Next up was my adventurous choice: the mac and cheese chicken burger. Now, I never thought that combo could work, but oh boy, was I in for a surprise! The first bite felt like I’d just taken a trip to the sun—super hot, and I could practically hear Guy’s voice in my head, “Watch out for that heat!” I definitely burned my tongue, but once the initial shock wore off, the explosion of flavors was nothing short of amazing.
And let’s not forget the side of Nashville hot honey. That sweet, spicy goodness was the perfect match for the chicken, elevating the whole experience to a level of deliciousness that I didn’t know was possible.
So, if you’re ready to brave the heat and enjoy some seriously tasty chicken, Chicken Guy is the place to be! Just remember to take it slow—burnt tongues aren’t quite as glamorous as...
