I’m a residential student at Stockton University on the AC campus so my friends and I have taken the short 4 minute walk to this small business about 5 times after discovering it only a week ago. Don’t even get me started on the tasty ice cream. I get the same thing every time; banana split boat all soft serve vanilla with extra strawberries instead of pineapples. And every time I’ve ordered it- it has just tasted better and better and they are very generous with how much ice cream they put in the boat especially when it’s only 6.25??? Oh I can go on and on LOL! And I guess we went so often the gentleman working even noted, “that’s what you got last few times huh?” And as someone who has worked in the food industry for a small business, I know how many customers pass through everyday - so being remembered was very heart warming! Again, I’ve been in several times and have experienced most of the employees including what I believe was a mother/ daughter duo and an older gentleman who was very very kind with a contagious smile that would show through a mask. The service from all was always perfect and we had absolutely no complaints. Most recently my friends and I walked to Island Creamery then went to the parking garage and watched the sunset for one of our last times before the year ended. On our way we passed an older woman who kindly told us how tasty all of our desserts looked and she was notttt wrong!! Only upsetting part of this experience is that we only just noticed the shoppe during our last week on campus before we all return home for the summer. :( but that doesn’t stop me from telling all my friends to stop by it before they...
Read moreMoments ago I went into Island Creamery in Atlantic City, New Jersey. And I was treated like crap. Not only was the lady working the counter was rude, and did not seem interested in anything that I had to say. Her manager, some guy working with her was rude, and not interested in helping me as the new customer to their Ice Cream Shop. Nothing was wrong with the ice cream shop’s bathroom. I needed to use it, she was rude, looked at the guy. The guy looked at me with a wild expression. Shakes his head know. I reminded that I am customer. Then he goes no, the bathroom is not for the public. Then I go, “why is there a sign up that says restrooms this way?” The staff here is very unprofessional. No customer service skills, bad attitude. I was planning to buy my staff of U. S. POLICE FIRE EMS FOUNDATION some ice cream. But after I was treated unfairly. I did not want to do business there. I will never go to this ice cream shop again. They’ve lost me, and my staff as a customer. I would definitely not recommend Island Ice Cream Shop to anyone that asks. Sincerely, T. S.President U. S. POLICE FIRE...
Read moreBrought one of my kids for ice cream this afternoon to see if we should bring the rest of the family. They let me try the 3 flavors for my triple scoop & my youngest son tey gis 2 flavors for his 2 scoops. When we came back that evening my middle son asked to raise a favor and was told that would be the only flavor he can taste. When I asked why he told me that was their policy of one flavor per person. I asked him if he remembered me from earlier and he said yes event remembered I left my wallet (which a kind customer returned) but denied giving my child a taste of the second scoop of ice cream he wanted. Definitely not customer friendly. Try North Beach Creamery or Juli's Pink both very near by and are more than happy to let you taste as many flavors as you like until you decide which one you would like. They both have excellent service and outstanding options for Homemade Ice Cream and...
