I will start out by saying, this meal was 5 stars and I loved it until my last bite. I wanted to treat myself to a new restaurant and I was in the mood for a Burrito. After some research, I decided to go with, Mexico Restaurant. I ordered online and went to pick it up. The inside is beautiful and I had immediately decided to make my next meal, an in-house meal. I went home and unpacked. Photos are all below. The rice was great. The salad was fresh, not one piece of withered or discolored lettuce or anything!!! I ate all of it. The burrito was flavorful and not disappointing. The side sour cream and avocado were fresh and tasty as well. I ate most of the meal in one sitting but had to save half of the burrito for later. And that’s when it went downhill. On my very last bite, the mouthfeel of something I was chewing made me spit it out. The photo is below also. Now, I know I ordered the Beef burrito, but that last part should not have been in the meat. It took away my enjoyment of the whole meal. One last thing, since I ordered online and my email address was used to confirm the order, I woke up the next day to emails (2) from the restaurant. I understand marketing, and wasn’t totally mad about it except for the fact, the first thing that popped in my head, was the photo of that...
Read moreHoly Molé! Finally a reason to drive to Atlantic City. This place is the first truly great restaurant I’ve found in a half hour driving radius. Other places have one or two decent dishes - good enough for occasional takeout. But Mexico Restaurant is worth actually coming down to in-person. It’s easy to park ($1/hour) and hard to miss, with a beautiful mural out front, clearly advertising the high quality of the establishment. We came down on a random Monday night and we were treated like VIPs. The place was quiet, full of other diners, but not packed. We even saw some coaches from Bright Stars (the local equivalent of a celebrity sighting!)
Obviously the main reason to come is the food. Every course was masterfully prepared, explained, and recommended. From the simplest appetizers like beans and chips, to the complex combination dishes and flavorful soups, down to the varied desserts and nuanced drinks. I recommend coming with a big group and trying some of it all. Not a single miss. Even the children’s menu was tasty - our girl is a very picky eater!

Read morei usually like this place and i always take of them here but they are real life actually disgusting and rude greedy people. they have happy hour almost every day except nobody in there does anything to introduce it. i ordered an appetizer off the happy hour menu and they charged me full price. she said because i ate all of it, but i didn’t say they were nasty i just asked for the appetizer that was on happy hour and she couldn’t care less. they take 30 minutes to approach the table. Gross, When i told them, she said she couldn’t do anything about it and i’m a server myself so i KNOW they could have done something they clearly just get zero business and need the money. i always wondered why every time i go in there there’s not a soul in there now i know why. poor restaurant and poor people super shame on them would not recommend these people don’t care about their...
