Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Auburn

March 31st 2024 10pm. I walked in and it looked not crowded or anything. Although they were not busy, and staffs were lingering around freely, I stood at the front for 9 minutes before any of them addresses me. The first word coming out of the waitress staff mouth is "are you picking up an order for somebody?"; implying, I don't have the means to be a patron or I must be an food delivery driver. Then I made it clear to her that I am there to dine in. She decided to take me on a walking tour around the place and have me sit on a 4 to 6 people table in the back. I tried to get her attention asking her "please, I want to sit at the bar". She walked away from me as if she is deaf. I made it clear to her that I lost interest and changed my mind about being there. And I immediately walked out. Overall summary, if the waitress is not attentive to me as a patron, then I don't feel like they deserve my money. Attention is everything. Had a sat there, chances are my food order will probably come after a long time and lost appetite and most likely come to me not cooked/put together correctly. I hate to tip bad service. I pay attention to everything. If you're not welcoming from the getgo, the rest of your service is trash. I might not be the highest weed grade in the dispensary but as a blue collar business owner, I know a thing or two about business services. And the service right here makes the establishment look low. Glad I didn't even get to order anything. Again if your welcoming attitude is unwelcoming, someone with discernment knows when a spade is a spade. This type of service will chase patrons away without a return. I don't know who put them in uniform but Lord have mercy. It illustrates no formal training or not happy about working to begin with or the employee carrying problems from elsewhere and bringing it to work. Whatever it is, the place needs...

We ate here tonight the food and drinks were fantastic. The service on the other handle was horrible. I have never experienced anything like this before anywhere! There was a bit of a wait to get a table which is expected but there was a crowd of people waiting inside the lobby for Togo orders that they were waiting for which was for quite some time. We got a table and the it started out well but then the appetizer was taking forever the waitress kept blaming it on the new cook. During this whole wait time people were coming in hanging at the bar and the waitresses were just huddled around them like they were there just to hang out. We could hear the swearing at our table. A women wanted to speak to a manager because she was waiting for her to go order for so long so we heard the waitress go in the kitchen asking for the manager and saying someone is pissed off and wants to see you. She walked out to speak to the women and she looked very grouchy we come to a realization the problem started at the top of the chain. The friend hanging out at the bar said she looked like she was having a rough one and she’s like ya so hasn’t my career here. Our waitress came out with our food sat the plates down and walked away didn’t ask if we needed anything she was gone. She walked by when we were half done our food and dropped sour cream on the table that we asked for when we ordered our food but still didn’t stop to see if we needed anything. She came back when we were finished just to ask if we wanted desserts and left a check. It was a circus in there the waitress didn’t even care they were there for a good time. There was only one waitress in there that was hustling around in and out of the kitchen when the rest were hangin at the bar. If there was anyone I wanted to tip that night it would be her and she wasn’t even...

To see more than 20 empty tables and still be told there's over a 30min wait is just bad management ...four groups left rather than wait .. we came a couple hours after the lunch rush and still had to wait while tables remained empty... The bar was full though... Guess that's what's important.. not that we can't order from the bar if we sit at a table 🙄.. Despite this little upset the waitress was very pleasant.. really unfortunate the wait staff loses money (they lose revenue too but probably don't mind.. They make plenty ..but the wait staff suffer) because they can't seat people and people leave... 😒.. The menus had calories listed and there were some vegetarian and pescatarian options Cheetos cheese bites are addictively delicious a little greasy but if it's your cheat day.. go to town.. I ordered the Blackened Cajun Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli.. everything was delicious 😋🤤 even the fries I stole of my husband plate.. and very large, very filling quantities, that left little to no room for dessert .. They're running a couple of deals on all you can eat options (deep fried shrimp ribs and chicken bites)... and half priced appetizers from 2:00 to 5:00 and 9:00 to close.. we fed it small party of 3 for under $75 for the meals .. including tip be prepared to spend about $30 per person, a little more than that if you're planning on enjoying some adult beverages while you watch the basketball or football games... I will visit this place more often and hope to revisit this review to give it more stars if they can update their entry and seating services to be more accommodating ...
