Firehouse Subs 410 Center Street — Restaurant in Auburn

I ordered a Peperoni & Provolone sub w lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oregano and oil & vinegar...to GO. The shop was very busy. The person taking the order was very short w me, stating they had an Italian sub that had some of what I wanted in it, but that they didn't have just a Peperoni &Provolone sub. 10 minutes of back and forth and she gets something input into her computer while making contortions with her face. After waiting 20 (lots of orders called in ahead I imagine) I see what looks to be the 2 ingredients I'd ordered being drained of water and grease. They'd made my sub hot. I didn't know Firehouse Subs only did hot subs. I was so disgusted, but after taking over a half hour from ordering to seeing this, I decided to just try it. They put my sub together and gave it to me. Yeah, it was gross. Seeing all the meats from all the different sandwich orders heated with steam/water made my stomach turn. Yeah...not...

What a warm, friendly, and polite crew they have working here. It really stood out to me after visiting another location in a nearby city that had the exact opposite and made me feel so unwelcome. They were quick, efficient, gave me a great salad and did it all with a smile. The best thing about this was when I complimented the young ladies on their great customer service they gave all the credit to their boss, and owner I believe. They said he was a wonderful boss to work with/for that it made them enjoy their job and want to do better for him. I think if more business owners and managers in these minimum wage type jobs treated their employees this way it wouldn't be so hard to fill these positions with top shelf workers like the crew at the Center St, Auburn. Todays service was an insult. I placed an online order at 11:50am, when I got there at 12:30pm (per my request) it had not even been started. Now I understand that it was really busy, but I ordered 40 minutes before anyone else in that lobby. When they finally got to making my order at 12:41pm it took them 8 minutes, so why couldnt they had done that in the other 40 minutes of my order? My sandwich was made wrong, I didnt have time to run back so I didnt get to eat.. On top of that my 2 co workers (one being my Regional Manager who had never eaten at your establishment and ordered there cause I spoke very highly of your store) had ordered salads.. no forks.. no salad dressing. This was insulting service, and very embarrassing to me. I still love the sandwiches there but I guess I will have to pick a time frame where I am not an...
