Aroma Cafe — Restaurant in Auburn

I heard about this place on Tiktok and had to give them a try. I was in line for 3 hours. When I pulled up I noticed the side door was open and saw there were about 4 people inside. Several cars drove off because of the long line and hours of waiting. It shouldn't take that long to mix drinks and make quick snacks, but overall the costumer service was great and I can't complain about the food. It was delicious but not worth the wait. I’ve been hearing about how good the tamales are from this place. Decided to finally try this place out with my family and came on a Saturday. I’m not sure what they had going on but it was some type of Mexican event. There was about 20 people inside the stand most of which were not wearing masks as if COVID and social distancing are not a thing anymore. The wait time for just a few items was ridiculously long!!! The place looked disorganized and hectic to say the least. The drinks and tamales were actually decent but I’m not sure we will return here again because of the neglect for COVID...

It's worth a try. The concha rellena is like a big dessert sandwich with strawberries Nutella and whipped cream inside. The horchata latte is good but also made with a powder rather than horchata as the milk. They were out of tamales sadly so I didn't get to try. I'll probably be back to try the tamales.
