Auburn Alehouse Extremely disappointed. We have patronized the Alehouse for years, but this last visit was a horrible experience, both in the food and the service.

Both items ordered we have ordered numerous times in the past.

Lettuce Wrap Appetizer came with the meal instead of before and we had to ask several times for additional plates. We had to wait an extremely long time for the plates to arrive and they were not very busy. There were a lot of empty booths. The lettuce was not the right lettuce for a Lettuce Wrap. The lettuce was thin, mushy and limp, not at all chrisp.

The Fish & Chips did not compare to past experiences. Oily, so oily the oil literally ran out of the breading. Batter was doughy, mushy not thoroughly cooked. Chips/fries were under cooked, cold and mushy. Tarter sauce portion was so small it would not accommodate one piece of fish much less three. We asked several times before recieving more tartert sause. Then they charged for what should have been provided as part of the meal. Coleslaw had a yellowish tint and did not look appetizing.

Service was well below previous experiences. We had to ask several times for refills, plates and napkins. Never received the malt vinegar or knifes. I'm glad they weren't busy!!

The only positive was their napkins are pretty nice.

We have always liked this place, but this last experience was a total disappointment. Hopefully, it was a fluke and not the way Management is handling things in the future. Management & the Training Staff needs to step up and recognize their shortcomings. If not with the increase in their prices, smaller portions and lack of service...

The Real Deal is the Auburn Alehouse which delivers on starters and drinks….cheers!

Let’s kick it off with the atmosphere which is a very nice pub style restaurant with a full bar with seating, outdoor seating, big booths. The restaurant has branding items from magnets to shirts to hats which are Nicely done!

Now let’s talk service which was pretty smooth. Food and drink delivery was timely with some input when asked for a newer waitress I was impressed.

Let’s go to the Main Event: the Food!! I’ve heard a lot of first hand reviews so I picked based on this. Started off with the Fried Pickles which were amazing, good crunch, Seasoned to perfection (9/10). The Kids Cheeseburger was delicious and big (9/10). The Fried Chicken which is known signature dishes this is where this review took a turn, I’ve had chicken across the world so I have high expectations, the chicken cook was good, the breading needed more flavor and thicker coating since they drowned it in gravy and place on top of the mashed potatoes. Fried chicken (6/10), gravy (8/10) pretty good, mashed potatoes (5/10). The Red Sauce Tacos which were just ok and salty (3/10). Tri Tip Sandwiches which the meat needed work and rest of the sandwich was good (6.5/10). The Side Salad was excellent with crispy cold bowl and Italian Vinaigrette dressing (10/10). Overall drinks yes, food hit and miss. Probably won’t be back to this one unless for a...

Wish I could say I'm impressed, but the truth is, I'm not. Ordered a "Small Bite" from their pricey menu - something they call "Szechuan Lettuce Wraps" for $14. I got a bowl of cubed chicken and sliced watercress drenched in hoisin sauce, on a plate with 5 leafs of butter lettuce and a huge mound of shredded slaw. It was accompanied by two sauce dishes, one of them a vinegary peanut sauce and the other I have no idea. The meal/appetizer was a mess, dripping everything everywhere. Not my favorite.

So their beer? Also unimpressive. Had their 10th anniversary IPA (triple), cutely named "ZZ Hop", and it was OK. Not bad, but not worth buying any limited stock cans-to-go either. Their imperial IPA (at only 8% abv) was underwhelming too. Perhaps their new hazy IPA saved the day, but barely.

Looking at the food-fare of other patrons makes me wish I woulda made a safer choice (like one of their burgers looks really good but I'm full now so I cant comment on it's taste).

The staff is polite but not endearing. I've been to this brewery maybe 10 times in the last 10 years (I'm from our of the area - just dropping in to see if anything has ever improved) and I'm still not impressed. They pass muster but aren't remarkable. It's a shame too, since they COULD be a huge draw, locally and with tourists just...

This place is absolutely amazing! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with fantastic food, top-notch service, and a charming old-time atmosphere. And let me tell you, the ales here are bursting with flavor! Plus, they have a great selection of gluten-friendly options for all you foodies out there. I've been lucky enough to visit this place a few times, and each visit has been nothing short of fantastic. The service is always on point, and the food is absolutely delicious. On my most recent visit, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a friend who's about to embark on an incredible journey abroad. We sat at the bar, enjoying each other's company for hours. And let me tell you, the views from this place are out of this world! I even managed to capture a stunning double rainbow 🌈. Talk about a picture-perfect moment! This place is not only fun and enjoyable, but it's also steeped in history. You can feel the vibrant energy and the stories that have unfolded within these walls. So, if you're looking for a place with great food, amazing service, and a whole lot of fun, this is the spot for you! Don't miss out on the chance to create your own unforgettable memories here. Parking is a bit tricky, there are a few handicap spots around.

I have to say that I was really disappointed in our food at Auburn Alehouse. At $20 for a burger I was expecting something pretty special, at the very least some quality ingredients and good size. Instead I got a glorified school cafeteria burger. Small, bland, and easily twice the price of what it should have been, though I wouldn't have paid $10 for it. Only edible because the overcooked, cheap bacon added a tiny bit of fat and flavor. Honestly I was a little shocked that they'd charge so much for something as mediocre as this. Maybe they're riding high on past successes. I certainly won't be back anytime soon. Just down the road, The Station Public House has FAR better food and a bigger selection of beers and you'll probably even save a few bucks. I really dislike hidden fees, especially on top of already insane pricing. They advertise that you get a "discount" for paying with cash, but the reality is they tack on a surcharge for card purchases. Icing on the cake kicking this down to a single star for me. The Cheese Loaf was fine, though not all that exciting. The fries were decent. Their beers were good, though not special or innovative in any way. Our waitress was very nice.
