Old Town Grill — Restaurant in Auburn

As one in our family has a nut allergy, it is an important issue when we eat out. After some close calls, we are learning that we can't make assumptions and have to ask every time about ingredients and isolation procedures. We could make and bring our own food, but restaurants like the business and most handle it well. It is awkward for us, and we understand that it isn't reasonable to ask a business to change their procedures to accommodate. So, if a restaurant handles it poorly, we don't go back and try to let others with allergies know to avoid that restaurant. But, some restaurants, like Old Town Grill, handle it great and those are the ones to which we will return.

We had lunch at Old Town Grill yesterday and asked about nut ingredients. Our waitress took special ownership of our concern and looked up ingredients herself to verify the foods that could have had nuts did not. She could have said "I don't know" and we would have ordered something else. But, she went way out of her way to make the extra effort. It was much appreciated.

The special care and kindness that people voluntarily express toward others, especially when not warranted, can really make a significant positive impact in someone's life, a moment of joy in a world that is sometimes dark. Great food and great atmosphere and even better view. I come here almost every day! And always sit on the outside balcony. The first time i came here, i was greeted by young Johnathan, who he helped me create the best breakfast burrito, which is a custom order from their scramble and omelets menu, which was fantastic! Theres not very many restaurants in Auburn that have breakfast burritos, and if they do... its hard to find a good one especially that grills the whole burrito and has the best cooked freash home style country potatoes inside!! So good! I have been coming back here almost every day since, Also if I may suggest the Mango Mamosa, it is so good it's addicting also the Champagnethey use is the best one i have found so far from all the restaurantsin old town Auburn! It's just the perfect sweetness, not to sweet and just right! One of the best restaurants in town. The service here is outstanding. They really go above and beyond for you here! Absolutely love this little breakfast joint up in Auburn I only stop here if I'm going to the skatepark in Auburn but it's my third time being there and the food was really good as as usual I never ordered the steak and eggs let me tell you there's steak was amazing I was very surprised I thought it'd be a thin paper steak like most breakfast places do I want to ask for temperature I was a little skeptical because usually breakfast places aren't that great at grilling steaks ask for medium rare and that's exactly what I got extremely juicy steak so much flavor they did a great job at seasoning the steak my server I should have got her name was extremely polite it's a nice quiet little cute place to have breakfast I love that they have outside seating you get to look at the old school downtown of Auburn very nice and cozy parking is a little hard but I got lucky I definitely recommend checking this place out if...
