Food is good and very affordable. However customer service is a whole diffrent story. We always feel we are rushed and unconvincing them if we ask about anything else. I have elderly parents that just takes extra time. Also, lately we have been charged for items we just simply didn't order. So make sure your bill is correct!! The restaurant is closing at 3pm, but around 2:40 they are litterly moping around your table while we are still finishing our meal. Incredibly rude!! I had to slowely guide my parents (over 80) to walk out from our table to front door, so they won't slip as the floor was completely wet. I highly suggest the restaurant employee do this AFTER they close the restaurant!!! It only takes a second to fall down on a wet floor!!! The thing is they are not even apologetic. Food is good, but NOT for the price getting extra attitude!!
UPDATE: Since there is no replay option to the restaurant replying to my post I will do it here on my original post.
Regarding Tom Yum soup! We wanted Tom Yum soup only with vegetables. No meat. I never once said I like extra vegetables or extra tofu! Infact I said we would like Tom Yum soup as it is, only vegetables. I don't know where you got the idea I ordered extra vegetables...that resulted in extra $4.00 charge.
There was no apology at all for charging us extra $10.00 for 2 beers. The response from the waiter was -- Next time remind me!! My question was, Remind you of what?? (Not to be charged for the things we haven't ordered?)🤔
There was never any communication from the staff that they were going to mop the floor while we were still dining and the restaurant was still open. In fact when we get up to leave from our table the moping bucket was in our way and we had to go around it. Big SAFETY HAZARD including WET FLOOR!!
Hopefully you can resolve these issues with your...
Read moreI took my wife here on our date night and all I can say is that it is a wonderful little restaurant. They have great food and great service, and an all around comforting feel. You could very well wear street clothes here and would not be out of place, but I feel they deserve at the very least business casual.
I ordered the drunken noodles and ordered them at a spiciness level of 3 (their heat is on a scale of 0-5). The waitress told me that their 2 is medium and that their 3 would make me sweat. Well that is what I wanted so I went with it, and I tell you what they DELIVERED. The heat was there, not quite enough to make me sweatb but enough to get my nose a little. Not only did they have heat, they also had flavor, something that seems to be increasingly hard to do.
What my wife ordered was the Tai wonton soup (she is a sucker for that, it very well could be her favorite thing). It was just sweet enough, in my opinion, to separate it from other wonton soups that I have had and was a refreshing compliment to the spice of the drunken noodles.
Now to our drinks and appetizers. We had a Tai iced tea and a Tai iced coffee for our drinks. This is actually the place that turned me onto Tai iced tea and I love it. And for our appetizers we had the golden vegetable rolls and the Tai Spring rolls which are wonderful and refreshing.
Not only was all of this presented well by a great wait staff, but the price point is great as well especially for two people. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great Tai food at a...
Read moreI am a real fan of Thai food and have tried over a hundred Thai restaurants. I have become extremely picky and opinionated about the cuisine.
When I first tried Auburn Thai, I was very impressed, so I decided I must return and taste everything on the menu at least once. So far I've only tried about 20 of the items on the menu but I'll keep trying to achieve my goal. Almost everything I've tried, so far, has been equal to or better than the best I've ever had. There was one entree that was not quite equal to the best I've had, but it was close.
The craft beer selection here is downright amazing - by far the best I've ever seen at a Thai restaurant. The owner, Nu, is a total craft beer geek and stocks an incredible selection of quality brews. He's always happy to suggest a pairing to any menu item you select.
The entire staff is friendly, delightful, caring, and hard working. They are all committed to making your visit memorable. The one reviewer that commented that the service was "slooooow" was a little unkind. The one disadvantage to patronizing a restaurant that is very good and very popular is that you might have to wait a bit sometimes when the staff is overwhelmed. Small price to pay for wonderful food!!!
Auburn is not exactly the gourmet restaurant capital of the world, but Auburn Thai is the exception. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. If you are new to Thai food, ask the staff. They will make sure you are...
