Maine Gourmet Chocolates — Local services in Auburn

Last minute I needed to order chocolate covered strawberries. I looked up local places near me and this lovely place came up. I called them about an hr or so before they were due to close to see if I could order two dozen and pick them up by the next day before 5pm. She offered to make them and stay after closing time a few hours to prepare them for our special family gathering ( we lived a ways away. Told them we were in the area same day for pick up). They went above and beyond with detail/decorative editable decoration to really make these not only specific to the occasion but they were absolutely delicious. Maine Gourmet Chocolates is the most adorable little candy shop and the owner, Stephanie, is just wonderful to chat with. She told me she makes most everything by hand right in her shop kitchen and boy do the treats taste freshly made with love! We bought this chocolate at a small craft store thinking it was an artisan product. After tasting it and being disappointed we read the ingredients and were surprised to find that it contains partially hydrogenated palm kernel and cottonseed oils, and corn syrup.
