Coco's Tropical Ice — Restaurant in Auburn

The owner or the manager is not a very nice person she has a bad attitude and is not helpful. I noticed the chip on her shoulder the first couple times I went there so I just tried to be extra nice to her because I felt sorry for her then today they ran out of to go cups. They had two to-go cups when I ordered my order to go and as they were making my order another employee took a phone call for a to go order.The not nice woman tried to tell the girl on the phone they have no more to go cups but the girl on the phone didn't hear her so even though I ordered first they gave the last two to-go cups to that telephone order instead of me. I very nicely asked if I could purchase the display cup which they could replace when they got new cups in the morning because I have a long ride and they will melt. I was even going to pay for the cup and she said no(not even in a nice way, with an attitude)and I asked why and she said "because". There was no reason she didnt want to be helpful, she just isn't a very nice person. Its too bad because this was our new favorite place.They have good product (very overpriced)but it tastes good It's a shame the service ruined my experience. Im very positive and nice, so for someone to affect me so negatively it was a surprise to me and very unpleasant. I am always shocked when someone is purposely unhelpful for no reason. First time back since the change in ownership. Ordered the Hawaiian Pineapple soft serve in a medium cup. The ice cream tasted like plain vanilla, no flavoring whatsoever which was a huge bummer. Thankful I had the sour patch kids as a topping for some added flavor of some sort. The ice cream was good for plain vanilla… but what’s the point of it doesn’t have the flavor you wanted? $10 for the medium which in my opinion was perhaps on the pricey side. Girls at the register were friendly, texting on their phones whenever there wasn’t a customer at the register but plenty of people inside. To some people isn’t that big of a deal. Maybe I am a little more old school 😆 I definitely recommend people go and try this place anyways. Always good to see for yourself.

EDIT Revisited today 5/2, noticed they now have hard ice cream options. I opted to try the hard ice cream with a topping. 2 scoops. The visit this time was great and the 2 scoops only costed me around $6…. Much more reasonable than what I paid for the soft serve during...
