Took the family for dinner. Wife wanted Mexican, I wanted chinese, so we got Mexican...
They weren't busy, it was a Thursday evening. Restaurant was clean and inviting. We were met with smiles by the gentleman who seated me, my wife and our kids.
Chips and salsa were good, above average, no heat though. Kids had pizza and fries...as of course children do. I had a 3 option combination; taco, enchilada, Chile relleno. Ordered an extra taco because I like tacos. Never got my extra taco. Wife had combination fajitas; chicken, steak, and shrimp.
The food was a little more seasoned than bland. Not overly impressed with it. The relleno was ok, it was very bland and flavorless. You could definitely taste the egg and the egg seemed...off. Not spoiled or anything, I couldn't put my finger on it.
Wife's fajitas were ok at best. Shrimp was overcooked as usual, tails still on... as a former chef I never understand this... beef was ok, chicken was meh. The onions were BURNT... like REAL burnt. The mushrooms were burnt. The peppers were ok. It was really weird.
I had a regular margarita on the rocks with salt and my wife had a blended raspberry margarita. Mine was terrible, not trying to get drunk, but I didn't feel like they're was any liquor in mine... personally I think it was a premade mix and the rapist one was... ok.
The bill was another story... this place is a little expensive for what you get. The server was not attentive. I say for a solid 3-5 minutes with the menus on the table ready to order. He just left the water pitcher and didn't fill any cup, even at the greeting.
I wish there was an Amerexican restaurant that was not afraid to season their food...does anyone know one in the area...
ย ย ย Read moreLas Margarita's what can I say but best staff and a awesome waitress /front desk๐๐พโโ๏ธ. Me and my mother were looking for a place to sit and have a drink. well with this covid they only had takeout, mama was telling me that she missed going in and sitting and having a drink in ordering our food why she watched the game on TV. waitress/front desk must have overheard us and was so beautiful and sweet she had the bartender make us are drinks and then she went back to the back and cleaned off the table for moma and I. the waitress/front desk told us we can sit there while we wait for our food. I know the waitress didn't know this, 4 weeks my mom has been talking about getting out of the house and sitting somewhere to eat rather than being cooped up in the house because of covid. Even though it was 15 minutes or so we sat there drink or margarita in order to go, the waitress made us feel like we were VIP! My mama so happy for days because the waitress took a little extra time that day to think about my mom and her feelings. Even though it was a little gesture it meant the world to my mom. I thank you last margarita and beautiful ๐๐พโโ๏ธ waitress/front desk. Best staff and food ๐๐๐ ฐ๏ธโ๐ฅ.

ย ย ย Read moreI ordered a beef chimichanga received chicken. When i asked if it was chicken the waiter said " yes, if you wanted something different you should have ordered it that way". Um I don't eat chicken and I ordered beef. So um. What? So I got to eat only chips and salsa.and buy a meal I didn't order. Everyone else's food was good. Nothing amazing. We tipped well but or served was a douche. One person in the group can't have dairy. When he asked for no sour cream or cheese on his chimichanga the server said that is basically the entire meal gone. He had to say well I can't have dairy so... The server said " well that is all you had to say not a list of no's". Well when you say no dairy and it comes outvwith cheese it is annoying. So a list of no's seems to work better for someone who can't have any dairy. After 50+ yrs of no dairy you learn the best way to order to receive what you want. Maybe had I said beef no chicken I might have gotten my order...
